From none to three in a week..how did this happen?!

I'm the same way, I've almost exclusively bought ~3.5"+ blades with the exception of a few Delicas and now I have two CRK under 3" that I love and another sub 3" on layaway. They're really nice blades and especially the small insingo performs like a much larger blade than it is.

.................. now I not only have a Nyala on layaway but I have a new Inoski on layaway too :D..............

And ........ down the road you go! :D :D :D :D :D

Have you looked at a UG yet? Held a Ti-Lock? :D :D :D :D :D

UG? I have handled a couple Ti-locks, one regular and one with a design, maybe steampunk? Im on the fence, I played with the regular one for a good 30 minutes while hanging out and I really got a hang of the operation but can't get over the cut outs in the handle, it's not gaudy but it's almost to that point for me. I think I'd already have one or have it on layaway if the scales were solid but then again, knowing the way I am I'll probably end up with two of them anyway lol. Right now my flavor is Mnandi, I want a Mammoth bark as soon as I can find a decent priced piece.

You'll be caught up to me by the end of the year! :D :D :D :D :D

Oh, and UG=Unique Graphics...

My lord... I think I found a new grail. Is this a custom or "just" a limited run?

It was just a production knife they made in low quantities while they had access to the mammoth. They have a lot of the ivory ones, which vary from a buttery color to almost pure white to a caramel color.....

And a smaller number of mammoth bark ones, which vary wildly from one to another...

So LW, are the Unique's exactly that, unique to each knife? No two Unique's have the same graphic? Many of the one I've seen don't do it for me but I love the 7th one down that you posted. I tend to prefer plain Jane with subtle contrast but that one is cool!

I have one or two more on my radar like a large cf insingo and MAYBE a Ti-Lock but I'm definitely going to hunt down some sort of mammoth, probably on a Mnandi.

Is this the one you mean?

That one is a standout, and I haven't seen one even slightly similar to it. Yes, a Unique Graphic is just that. There might be others similar, but no 2 exactly the same. Many of the UG's are freeform designs, and Lisa will sometimes make several variants on a theme in quick succession. You can see a real good example of that at Edged Specialities website, if you look for the UG's they have in stock. I can even look at a knife sometimes and tell pretty close when Lisa made it. She also does what I call 'Series UG's'. Night Sky's are one example. She's done a bunch, they're all the same scene, but no 2 exactly the same. Here's some that I have here...

UG designs can vary so much, that they're just a matter of what you like or don't like. While I like them all, I don't love every one I see. Here's just a couple examples of how different they can be...

UG's aren't to be confused with CGG's or Computer Generated Graphics. Those are designs created and loaded into a computer, thus many are made of each design. Here's a few examples of CGG's

A righty-lefty pair of one of my favorite CGG designs, called Trapeze. I now have both larges and the righty small, and am looking for a lefty small to complete the set.

Damn LW! You've been posting "firepower" this whole thread! Awesome!

You have firestorm too!? Aren't there only a handful (literally) of those around?

The damascus is called River of Fire, it was done by Bill Burke. There were a total of 44 CRK's done with it, 17 Mnandis, 17 small Sebenzas, 10 larges. Of the 17 smalls, one is known to be damaged, leaving possibly 16 in collectible condition. These 2 are my large and small, I don't have a Mnandi. My large is unique in that it has the only bronze anodized thumbstuds I've seen on a CRK.

Ah yeah that's what it was called, I saw a fella post a picture of his set, Large small and mnandi, on Facebook. Pretty cool stuff though it'll never be something I can afford! The bronze studs are interesting, I think they'd look good on certain blades.

Yeah, the price on these has gotten stupid high, and will probably only get higher. There's a couple people who have the trifecta. I'd like a Mnandi too, but don't really want to pay the going price for one. I'm much more into Sebenzas.
