From tactical to traditional

I'm amassing a bit of an unintended collection. 2 from AVigil, a 2nd on the way from DDR, and a more EDC friendly bowie from Patton.

I took CM drawing and tweaked it to give him what he wanted and what looked and felt right for me.

I hate making stuff I do not like :)

Unintended collections are very common nowadays... like an unintended Affair.:D

There was a time when my grail folder was a bead blast tanto D/A Socom, grail fixed was a Strider BT. At one time, I owned every production Emerson and MT OTF. In this last year, I've carried a large tactical folder maybe less than 30 days.

My "POU" has shifted to thin slipjoint folders and large fixed fighters. Furthermore, I've noticed that each fixed blade I buy is more "traditional" than the last.

I'm now playing with the idea of having a 7.5" Randall 14 homage built in a "super" steel.

I've been a member here since 1999....and started collecting knives earlier than that. I read your post and had a chuckle......after going through many, many knives, my main focus right now are Walter Brend fixed tacticals (and a few folders) and Gene Shadley slipjoints. I carry a Shadley in my pocket pretty much every day.

Samuel Lurquin and Chad Harding make some of the best traditional fighter/bowies I have seen.
