:)

I like it! I however, liker the handle to be in line with the edge (not so wide). Just my preference. :)

They are as traditional as it gets... and their beauty lays not only in their simplicity as well as their craftsmanship, but I believe it equally lays in the manner which they'd be best suited to use, that is, in a time of peace.

Once upon a time man did not need a knife to go to war... but with sweating hands and fatigue setting in on a soldier who sees no end to the hellish combat going on around him that he is caught in... such knives could be of a severe disadvantage to him, and they could even end up being the cause of his complete demise with one mere slip in the hand.

There is certain benefit to some form of hand protection in a knife, it all depends on its intended purpose of use.

If you would like some form of a knife designed on a PC that is intended for use in a peaceful environment, feel free to throw up a basic sketch of it. Such knives are in fact easier and faster to design than those with guards, hilts etc. Or if you like, going by the knives in that picture, I could meld them all into ONE knife in a manner that I felt would produce a beautiful result.

Up to you.

Hmm, "warrior" knife from viking era. Seax.

Did the Vikings have access to soldering irons and solder?

They should equip all NATO an US forces with those type of fighters you think?:D

Norwegian commando carry Leuku. ;)

PS "Viking" was a profession name, not a nationality.

My EDC was and is SAK. I don't think I was tactical a moment.
These are 2 designs I created

Derzales,

If the knifemaker is good, you will have an excellent knife. Post pics of it when you get it aye.:)

From the picture of the Spartan knives above, I quickly extracted the one on the left hand side:

Now lets compare it to a new age Spartan Blade:
