please note how many companies CS Dep' you contacted,
and replay just about a good CS experience, first hand if you please.

I've contacted 3 major companies.
by far, Benchmade was the best!

PS
must say BM knifes is not exactly my taste although like my 275 but,
what a nice customer service.. very reassuring.

Leatherman, no doubt about it. When I had a problem with a 7-year-old tool, one bent implement, I just walked into their store and swapped it out for the current model, no questions asked. I didn't even know that's what she was going to do. She looked it over, noticed the bent screwdriver, reached under the counter and handed me a new one.

Strider, no contest. Fix anything, everything, as new, no charge.
CRK very very good, although you pay your fair share.
Nice folks on the phone. I never got a sharp knife from BM, even after I sent them one to sharpen. Had no problems with their folders, otherwise. I carried several of BM's for years. Never happy with their 154 cm.

I feel Wal-Mart has the best customer service in the world with McDonalds being a close second.

Once my pancake knife broke and I took it to the desk and they gave me another with no questions asked.

Thanks a lot, I had to just wipe my freakin screen off! LOL

KAI/Kershaw/ZT, I bought a Blur, screwed up the thumb studs by trying to reposition them to a different angle. Explained this to a Kershaw C.S. rep and was told to send the knife in explaining what needed to be fixed. Took about two weeks, they replaced the blade for free.

Just like the thread you started in the BM forum about how you were dissatisfied with ZT customer service, this thread should be in GBU.

On topic, Jeepster has by far the best answer.

KAI, specifically ZT. Only time I've dealt with CS for any knife, but they were great. They sent me replacement standoffs when my ZT0561 arrived from the factory with a cosmetic dent in one of them, without ever requesting pictures or anything. Sent a whole set, and it arrived in just a few days.

Dr Allen of Three Sisters Forge hands down. One simple email with a question led to not only an immediate response, but several emails back and forth all day long just talking knives, telling stories, sending pics, etc. It was like we were friends chatting away. He goes above and beyond for his customers and stands by every knife. Truth be told, I wasn't sure how much I liked my Beast, but from that day on I was sold and have carried it everyday since. I'm a customer for life

I have had to deal with AGRussell, Microtech, Cold Steel, HTM/DDR and Fox. While I can't say I had a bad experience with any of them, I think my best experiences have been with AG Russell and Fox.

I bought a very nice little folder from AG and after carrying it a few days noticed that the blade was closing too far and the blade was making contact with one of the stand offs, which put a lovely ding in the edge. I returned the knife and had my money immediately refunded. And the CS people were very friendly and helpful.

I bought a Fox Deimos used here on the forums. On recieving it I found that the pocket clip was buggered and there was a sizable chip out of one of the wood scales. The screws for the pocket clip were also both stripped. I got the knife for a song so I didn't mind going to Fox for a replacement clip. I emailed Fox and got a prompt reply from Roland (I think). I had inquired about purchasing a clip and possibly a set of scales. Roland asked me to send the knife inand he would fit the parts for me. So I did. When he recieved the knife I got a prompt email telling me that he would be sending me a hand picked replacement knife at no charge! Even though I was not the original owner and the defects were the result of the previous owner and not the factory. Above and beyond.

I also recently contacted Roland about a knife I was bidding on ebay that had questionable markings. It was a Combat Jungle but was marked Trapper. Roland replied to me 3 times on a Friday and after poring over the pictures he advised me to cancel my bids because the markings appeared questionable to him as well to the point that he questioned the knifes authenticity. That saved me some money for sure.

Busse, spartan, emerson, brkt, but to be honest I've never really had a problem with any company I've found it's all on how you talk to them and treat them and they will treat you with the same respect and fix your problem.

Best customer service I've ever recieved was from Condor. I had a knife that had a VERY slight loosening of one of the handle slabs. Barely noticeable so I fixed it myself. Out of curiosity I emailed Condor to ask about their policy regarding overseas customers (since i live in Australia) and who would pay the substantial shipping cost to return a faulty knife, even though I had no intention of returning it. I once broke a kabar and was told that I'd have to pay shipping to have it considered for replacement, so I was curious. Even though I explained that I had fixed the very minor problem with my knife, they not only offered to pay shipping to replace my modified blade, but actually offered to reimburse me for the time I had spent fixing it. I declined the offer since I had no intention of taking advantage, but that was without a doubt the best customer service I have ever recieved anywhere
