  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Frustrated Newbie with a Spyderco Sharpmaker

this is coming from someone who struggled with the sm a lot......my eyes played tricks with me on the sm...this may not make much sense..but I actually tilted the blade a little to what I thought wasn't straigh...and then after I looked at it..it was straight...im just saying its hard to identify straight..just because I was tilting the blade a little I was still straight..before my eye would look at what I thought was straight and it was really too straight where I wasn't getting to the edge....try tilting the blade to where u are catching edge..it actually even sounds different when u are getting where u need to be.....if that makes any sense

best advice I cn give u is....practice practice practice....I had all kinds of people to do this and do that..and some helped but some hurt my method...when u get it it will all be apparent what u need to do...
