yeah.... tenacious is a tad big for edc, persistence sounds great!
I honestly don't like the Tenacious because it doesn't fit my hand very well, but it is still a great knife and good value.
I think the Tenacious should be kept the way it is with regards to price/materials. It is not designed to be a competitor to the Caly3 or Military.
I think different colors are a great idea, and I will also most definitely purchase a persistance when it comes out. Spyderco needs some color in its line up, and this is a great model to do it with.

seems like most ever one is in favor of some color in a Tenacious. is this correct??

i edc the tenacious because it stays sharp
cuts everything i need to cut and the price point means i'm not freaked about dropping it in the field.
i'll bet if you made a few with carbon fiber they'd sell out.
a smaller version would be great.
i really do prfer the lockback over the liner lock but i'm getting used to it

Heck, I'm so stoked about H1 right now and the yellow FRN I wouldn't mind having a "Tenacious" or "Persistance" style blade in H1 with a yellow FRN handle. That probably going way over the top, but I'm loving the H1.
But, I still would like to see colors. Sorry if we're overwhelming you, Sal. We just love Spyderco products.

I got my two Persistence today. I think this one is going to be real popular. Under $30 at a popular internet knife store. I've been carrying it around this afternoon but haven't used it other than to play with it (open and close, open and close...you guys know that drill). The size is actually feels bigger than the lengths suggest. I think it'll make a fine EDC.
Btw, colors would be great for this one and its big brother.
The Resilance...larger than than a Tenacious might be to big....might; but then it'll likely make those folk depressed over the full size Manix's demise very happy.

I like the idea of the persistence, but for my tastes, I think the Tenacious is almost too small for me. I dont think I'd warm up to a smaller version. I like the sounds of the big one though!
