I like the bottom one alright but it looks to much like the chopwiler (or however you spell it!)

AT least you feel pretty good today!!

I feel pretty good myself, i was a little tired feeling but it passed.

I don't. If it's gonna be a bigger knife, I would prefer it on my belt, not in my pocket. My sak is about as big a knife I want, or need in my pocket.

Same here. The biggest folders I can stand are a Buck 110 and a Queen Mountain Man, and they really prefer to ride in a belt pouch. Anything bigger than that might as well be a fixed blade IMHO.

Why you kid? I was thinking the same damn thing "If she knew what was going through my head when I first saw her..."

She seems like a bright person. Trust me, she knows. I'm often amazed that women talk to us at all. :p

An IV works better.

No access to IV? than gatorade, BC powder and either banana/kiwi/spinish... high potassium... Or eggs or chicken noodle soup work also to replace sodium and boost liver

All good advice. A big glass of water or Gatorade, and a healthy snack before passing out helps too. A big part of the problem is dehydration and nutritional deficiency from the booze leaching everything out of your system.

Or the ultimate medicine, a lefty, cures all!!

In my partyin' days I used to say that THC stands for "The Hangover Cure" and always tried to set some aside for a wake-up. Of course the very best way to prevent a hangover is to not drink so dang much ;) On the other hand a person can always hammer down a couple Bloody Marys and start all over again...

I'd drop the handles a bit below the line of the spine. It doesn't have to be dramatic, but it really helps with comfort and leverage. People that like my stuff notice that right away, and it makes 'em give dirty looks to all the knives they own that are straight from near the tip all the way through to the end of the handle. And just a hint of a curve along the edge of the big one will improve slashing and chopping performance. Just as nature abhors a vacuum, she abhors a straight line, too.

Honestly, I think the handles are terribly ugly. Try a different handle shape with sculpted scales instead of flat slabs. You might get away without that Quasimodo hump. I like the blade shape on the smaller one. I think the bigger blade needs more of a sweep to the blade/edge. It looks a lot like that weird Kabar green thing otherwise.

Thank you James, exactly the kind of advice/criticism i was looking for!! I will indeed work on your suggestions thank you very much!

That handle is perfect, i dont know if you ever held a chopweiler but that handle is perfection, that hump is perfect. Ugly? Man you have no idea!!!

And have You seen the competition choppers at all? I mean all i did was use a shape like that and add a santoku kind of tip.. They use these shapes because they WORK.

I'd like to see that chopper with a tip like on blade B. How long are the blades on these things by the way?

10" for the top one, that is the max at blade sports... the bottom has a 5" cutting edge 5.5" from scale to tip.

Im thinking Ill do like James said and try a bit of a sweep and lower the handle just a bit, and also play with tip design a bit as well. maybe like exhibit "A" above but with the same handle.

I would go with a more robust material for both the blades and handles. Corrugated cardboard is difficult to sharpen. James also had some good suggestions. Also, on the chopper, I would go more "sheepsfoot" than "lambs foot" to improve tip strength.
Since I have never actually made a knife you may want to disregard entire post.
Carry on.

I got a BNIB Rat II I'll give ya for 'em. :D
Thanks at least for the offer, maybe for one of 'em... at least you're getting the ball rolling. I know, I know, I gotta drop the price, but the sheaths are decently made, no rattle and good belt loops an molle back and leg strap, actually though about keeping one of them. Too difficult to sell the knife with no sheath, tho.
