Ok, I gotta ask…I also prefer a nice wood
Am I the only one who giggled a little over this?
I used to like G10 but I’ve kinda moved on. G10 is akin to an old girlfriend now.

Oh yea! I'm here to eat some popcornI'll grab the snacks!
G10 is definitely not my favorite handle material and there simply is no "best" handle material, but as long as the price is right, G10 is great IMO! But I personally don't really wanna work with it.
G force.G-what?
Yo, let me tell you 'bout a knife handle materialDiscuss.
Dunno about that. Caseless ammunition didn’t really take off. Not replacing .223 or .308 any time soon.G11 is better.
Discuss.
Ahh... the 'touch of wood'others may prefer the touch of wood
Linen Canvas Micarta, so fine,Canvas or linen micarta and stabilized wood are better in my opinion.
Did you come up with that one?!Linen Canvas Micarta, so fine,
A texture unique, to entwine,
With strength and beauty, hand in hand,
A material that's in high demand.
The canvas woven, tight and strong,
A texture that will last so long,
The linen fibers, woven tight,
A material that's a true delight.
From knives to pens, it's put to use,
A beautiful material, hard to refuse,
In its texture, stories abound,
A material both strong and profound.
Linen Canvas Micarta, a true art,
A material that's captured the heart,
Of craftsmen and women, who know its worth,
A material that's both strong and with mirth.
Doesn't hurt that it's easier to machine, too...
Mysterious glance,Did you come up with that one?!

I’d take mammoth molar or meteorite over G10 any day! Here are my personal preferences/opinions.
G10 < Titanium
G10 < Zirconium
G10 < Carbon Fiber
G10 < Micarta
G10 > Zytel
G10 > Rubber
G10 > Wood
G10 > Aluminum
Grab a heavily used micarta handle is like grabbing a used underwear. New, OK, used, not so much.I used to use quite a bit of G10 for scales, not so much anymore. I like it for liners or as part of a composite handle, but have started leaning more towards micarta.
