did you ask him why he changed his mind? maybe he got a bad feeling about sending his knife first. sounds like it just wasn't meant to be.

I'm all for honoring commitments, always have honored my own. I do not disagree with it, my point is that one never knows what happens on the other end that would cause a person to back out. This is a hobby to me, and I deal with enough blowhards at work and other unsavory personalities on a daily basis, it would be sad if this turned into the same thing. YMMV.

As is obvious from the above email exchange, I asked him to send first in the 2nd or 3rd email. He agreed repeatedly then flaked out on the trade at the last minute. Just wanted to get this out there for folks to know about in case it happens again. Just a data point.
I did. He claimed that I dropped the "you send first" thing on him as a late ultimatum. As the emails I've posted show, I asked him VERY early on in our negotiation.
I agree that one is allowed to change his mind. However, don't tell me you're happy to send and all is fine then wait for me to take everything down in trade and sale threads and THEN tell me you're backing out. Its just bad etiquette and feels rather scummy.
I'm not leaving feedback. Just a warning for others. Obviously, if this is an isolated event then it won't be a problem.
How am I being a flake? I am relaying my experience with someone on the forum.

That's simply untrue. You commented in email that you didn't care. My guess is someone decided not to deal with you because of it and now you're mad.
Normally, I'd remove it after a polite request to. However, I just got a PM from Gangsta effectively demanding that I do it. I see no reason why I should fold to his demands after he acted inappropriately.
So you don't change user names and pull the same thing with someone else...?
If a mod tells me to change it or wishes to change it himself then I can live with that. Otherwise, I don't see any reason why I would want to help out someone who's making rude demands and empty threats.
Who's being an internet bully? This thread was created over a month ago. Gangsta told him he couldn't care any less. Now he takes issue with it.
I've been nothing but polite AND stuck to the facts. At no point have I sent around demands or threats (gangsta has.) So who's the internet bully here?
