Gathering Contest...The $20 Survival Kit

It`s kind of funny, I have not bought anything at the dollar store yet, but I will be. I`ve still got $7.24 left to spend.
 
Guess who hasn't started yet? :o We have until the Spring Gathering correct?

Nope! I guess you did not read the fine print, it ends tomorrow, I win! :D Just kidding, we have untill May 14th.
 
Picked up two knives for my kit, $1.35 total. So far, my most expensive item was $1.50 and I don't think I am up to $10.00 yet.....the hunt continues!
 
I wve to ride would love to make the trip but at best Iwould have to ride a cart to get around.

Just to make sure...

Are scavanged cans, tins, coathangers, etc. cool to use without adding a dollar amount to your kit?
If you purchase a larger amount of something, do you only count the % used for your kit?
Is the $20 just for survival kit or for clothing as well?

Ran into a bit of a problem I have a great bag I gave $2 bucks for but Have no reciept bought it a few weeks before christmas. The guy comes to my shop frequently and I talked to him about it. Would anyone have any objections to a hand written reciept? if so no problem just really really like the bag! let me know what you guys think- Joel
 
You guys have got to keep me up on this! I am 2000+ miles away and have to know what you come up with. I have one I carry every day here in the big sand box. I use a small plastic military chem warfare decon kit holder for mine, doubles as a cup and is completely waterproof. Please let me know what you come up with. P. S. when and where is the gathering? Joe

If it`s a handwritten receipt from a place of business, fine. I know the antique and retail stores by you hand write them, I`ve been there.
