(GAW Ended. <3) The Sparkly Knife Scholarship Giveaway: Inspiring others to love knives. ♡

Wow, O Okan-7 , I am so honored that this was your first post ever!! ^_^ Thank you for writing in. <3 Do you think your Fiancée might be inspired to get into this hobby if she were to have a replacement for her other knife? It sounds like she already had one though. <3 What are your thoughts?

She has gone from someone who didnt really see a point in carry a knife or tool of any kind, but these days she has carried the Victorinox maybe a year(before it was lost) and still carries a flashlight everywhere. Since we have been together I feel she definitely surprises me on how much she has learned about knives from me being a bit of a chatty cathy and I love that she does seem to respect and appreciate a good tool a lot more now that shes carried one and been able to see first hand the usefulness. Recently I got her a Spyderco Endura 4 and I rit dyed it a nice shade of purple and she seems to love it(and actually uses it pretty often)

Thanks for your thoughts but I would like to see this go to someone as a first knife to hopefully blossom into a knife finatic like all of us here!

Thanks again

Hey Sabre Cat! ^_^ Do you think your daughter is a candidate for The Sparkly Knife Scholarship? :] ♡
I guess that would be up to you.

I can tell you that she is living out of state, trying to survive on a part-time office job and going to school full time. She's pulling this off without help from her parents or step-parents.

Her ultimate goal is medical school and she's sharp enough to make it happen. I admit there is a huge question if she will make it though because of $$$ hardships. I would love to help her but the funds just don't exist. I can't help but be proud that she has made it this far. She has grown into an amazing young adult in spite of who her parents are.

FWIW, I have wanted to get her a small EDC Alox knife for awhile now but have not been able to pull it off.

Purple is her favorite color, BTW. That little Swiss Army knife would be perfect as an EDC for her and for the office she works in. I can also tell you that receiving that knife would bring a smile to her face. :)

I really wish I had another one, Sabre! :/ ♡ It really is so inspiring, to hear about people following their dreams against all odds. ♡ DM me when you get the chance? ♡

Update to the thread. After giving my friend the knife quite some time ago I just noticed she starting carrying it on her keys now after sitting in her room awhile. I wasn't really sure if she would ever use it but knew she appreciated it. I was super thrilled to see and her tell me it's on her keys.

Thanks a lot again for hooking my friend up sparklygalaxy. She currently EDC's a better knife then me lol.

My wife and best friend in this world is always borrowing my little keychain carried Victorinex Classic to open boxes. She buys a boatload of stuff off the web, and seems to get 3 to 5 boxes delivered a day! LOL...I get worn out just carrying them in!
