GAW: Find Todd a new Avatar contest.

Yeah, the heart in the dagger and cleavers is a nice trademark. I like working along those lines...

On a more serious note:

DAMNIT Nate ! ..lol you beat me to it. I was gonna put a Cupcake with a quote "Get a bakers dozen of bad ass from T.M Hunt"

Here's my submission. I combined Derek and Murphy. May I present......"Durphy".

Durphy is badass!

But I dunno if it should be revealed to the public that Todd hangs out with the Durphy collaboration in his off time :highly_amused:

I'm liking the ideas guys. Got a couple here that are appealling and I'm kicking around. But nothin that just 100% grabs me. Remember I'm not the most computer savy fellow out there, so be as detailed as possible with your entries so it will be easy for me to apply the pics please. Keep em coming. Lots of people out there that I'm sure got some cool ideas.

When I am on bladeforums and I see a knifemaker, what catches my eye a lot of the time is when they have their avatar sat as one of their blades... something that really stands out and displays your high skill level and your own character. Couple this with a little bit of the subliminal by either having the blade doing something, or simply in your hand. It is making a statement that this blade, was made by you, with your own bare hands...

Took Todd's photos, cropped, enhanced the color, cleaned and smoothed them out, added text, then re-sized. May not translate well as an avatar however. Looks kinda cool though. Look at the difference between the wood handles in the first and second photos. Also, the shine on the leather. Gives you an idea of what enhancing can do for a photo:

I like the color on those last ones Dubz but they are a bit bright. Maybe slap a gray background layer on there and then play with the opacity around 95% or so? The color looks real nice on those though. See what you can do with this pic Murph posted, it has their main models on it.

I purposely made them bright, so they would translate better when reduced in size, and wouldn't appear too dark. Nice photo, but that one has the old M-18. The newer ones have the grinds going a bit higher, no hole in the finger guard, and Todd's scales.

Okay Derek, decided to use that photo after all. Had a few ideas.

Cropped original:

Then I got the idea to "burn" the logo in. Man, did this take some time. I have them ranging from hotter, to cooler, but I'll just show the hot, and the cool. There's also more green in the manip:
