Gayle Bradley Hard Use

You get what you pay for, but for the price, the Bradley is an incredible value. The steel, workmanship, scales, liners, fit & finish are all excellent on mine. It has to be one of the great knives made by Spyderco. Not only does it look classy, it is a functional design which will stand up to hard use and still maintain its excellent finish and appearance over time. Thanks Sal for a great design & execution!

I really love mine, but do need to dress the "spyder hole" as it's really sharp edged. Anybody got a suggestion for a good way to do so?

Do you have a sharpmaker? If so you can use the corner of the rod to take the edge down a bit.

Some high grit sandpaper does the trick as well.
I often have to do that on new Spyderco's.

The gb is a really good value for the quality, rock solid lockup, premium scales and steel. Great blade. I have workers hands, so the edge of the spydie hole has never been an issue, but if you have soft hands, a little 220 grit should do the trick

Got gritty tough hands myself - this one is extremely sharp.

that's it, mine's going back in the pocket today. that knife has seen a lot of challengers come and go but it always ends up back in my pocket after a while.

My GB is always in my rotation. Some other knives change but the GB is always there.

Nice edge! I find that I need to have jeans on to carry it because of the weight, but that's a small price to pay. :D

My Gayle Bradley has been in my rotation for years. It is my most frequently carried of my EDC inventory. A VERY WELL made knife and excellent cutter.

Just put my first edge on the Gayle Bradley (micro bevel really, Sharpmaker only so far), and man does it get screaming sharp easily. On par if not better than VG-10 on ease of getting crazy sharp. Very pleased!

Just got one and I am impressed.
A very nice design, love the scales and barrel spacers. She looks like a nice collector but when you open her up, she screams, "USE ME PLEASE"
Cheers

I want to get one but shy away from knives that don't have stainless blades. I will probably order one though.

Unless you live in a very humid environment or close to the ocean air M4 really doesn't see the same rust issues like Super Blue or 1095. I have not treated my M4 blades with anything and have zero rust/oxidization issues with them. You will be very happy with the Gayle Bradley and M4, its performance is exceptional.

for anyone hesitating on buying a Spyderco Gayle Bradley.

I have handled a lot of custom and high end production knives since introduced to this hobby 2 years ago. I continuously come back to the gayle Bradley folder as my main EDC. the lock can feel a tiny bit awkward at first but you get used to it quickly. the rust resistance of M4 is not an issue(I also leave at the beach).... my recommendation is to get some frog lube and your good to go(especially if you do food prep with yours). its more smooth than most customs ive handled, and for a production knife that is absolutely awesome. for the price its the best bang for your buck in a production knife!
