GEC #33 Conductor Whittler

I thought they were the same size, but I'm sure someone in the know will chime in soon...

Not fair is right! My Northfield Conductor was my second GEC and is all time favorite knife, and now they've gone and made a split back style whittler!?! Arrrrgh! Love the blue denim, though my knife budget is already gone for the spring with the Champlin Eureka, a Case Copperhead, Schatt barehead teardrop and two Camillus BSA knives that I've picked up recently. That red jigged bone NF is sweet too, but I'd go acrylic if I could...

Oh and ~P, the Case and Schatt I got in March are both blue :D

My guess is they haven't been shipped to dealers yet.
Anyone know where the crushed pineapple ones went to?

The #33 main blades are the same size. I didn't take a pic of just the #33s but I do have a pic all my knives that came in today. You can see them on the right and they're the same size.

The Northfields may have shipped yesterday, but generally we don't know for sure what we are getting until we open the box in these short runs. A lot like Christmas for dealers.

These little guys are so tempting, got two coming already. The red bone also looks great and I'm waiting to see the stag. All bad I tell ya and I still want an ebony! Must stop looking at the pictures of these, my wallet cant handle anymore.

Anyone here score one of the African Blackwoods? Hard to accurately tell, but from the photos they look REALLY dark (and really nice!)

All I can say is Wow, going to look for one right now. I've been out for a while, but this has been riding in my pocket for just short of a year... now a whittler in the same pattern!

Blackwood and Faded Blue Denim acrylic #33s came in today. Excellent workmanship all around. Good blade seating, nice uniform pulls, no rubs or gaps. The Blackwood is very dark and has a tighter grain than ebony, though it's not quite as hard. The acrylic looks nicely layered and really sparkles in the sun.

Wow - great pair Rick!
Thanks for the pics
Edit: curious about not being as hard, I thought African Blackwood was harder than ebony.....

Great pics and a good looking knives.

I wish the Northfields had the long pull of the single spring conductors.
