GEC #35 Churchill Thread

I am not one for acrylic and I didn't really like to wip pics that GEC had on their site, but, wow the finished humming bird acrylic is a beaut.

I'm not a big fan of Acrylic either to be honest but I wanted another Churchill. I'm among those who weren't too impressed with the cover options and after the Yellow Rose and Rust Red it was the most appealing to me. I like it but having only three Churchills, it's my third favorite of the trio.
 
Well it looks like mine has shipped!
Looking forward to this one and it'll be nice to have a other stag back in the mix :thumbsup:

I like the looks of them and the fact that they will be very unique . Kind of sorry that I did not get one .

The acrylic that Rick shows is compelling! Certainly does look like some Old School Cell-minus the fire-raising potential & other anti-social traits:eek::D:cool: If I didn't have this raft of bills I'd be getting one, let's hope the Exchange provides one in a few weeks time (why no emoticon for fingers crossed??) Beautiful looking knife, Cloud/Keyhole shield suits it.

I also agree when somebody earlier posted that the non symmetrical shield, being placed closer to one bolster helps you 'orientate' the master blade of the knife, good point:thumbsup:

I love the yellow rose I got, great knife. Now i want a tidioute version and can't decide between the micarta or cougar claw

You're welcome Dave. Regarding the shield, it's a testament to what GEC is capable of. I can't find even a hairline gap around the entire circumference of the shield. That can't be easy to do on a shield with so many nooks and crannies. Pretty impressive.
 
Grabbed the mail at lunch, and look what showed up! Terrible photo but initial thoughts on fit and finish are that it's a perfect example of GEC quality. The size is perfect and the crazy cover/shield combo is right up my alley.
