GEC 38 English Whittler 2021

Still whittling, the new 62 pc run gave me an excuse to get a regrind on the 38. Silky smooth cuts now. It was good before, it's great now.

love the coin a bit more than the knife, but i am a numismatist
So was I, formerly :) Always liked coins and American ones are very admirable in design given they don't change so often. However, an 'English' Whittler called for The Bank of England....Benedetto Pistrucci's design/die of St George and the dragon as seen on gold Half Sovereigns and Sovereigns (other denominations too) is a very beautiful work. But if you have time have a look at William Wyon's engraving for the Gold Five Pounds coin 1839 Una & The Lion, beyond beautiful and worth a mint :D

amen, i bet, when i was touring london i only grabbed a quick set, i didnt have as much time to chase what i wanted to, as big a fan as i am of sherlock holmes, the old crown coins mean quite a bit, but some day i reckon ill be back. tho i was born a citizen in her majesty's colony, my parents always reminded me the queen didnt want us.
