GEC #47 Harvester and #74 Cotton Sampler. First 2023 run.

Awesome! Glad you got it to how you want it! Looks like it should still be plenty grippy too.
Thanks! I might not really liked it initially, but now it's fixed and I put some work in it, which always makes any knife (or any thing) closer to your heart. And yeah, jigged micarta turned out to be super grippy, I never expected it to be like that. Out of the tube it was almost biting my skin if squeezed tight. Might actually use it on some gardening works or something.
If I’m not mistaken I believe our Porch friend Will Power achieved similar results by just oiling the covers.
Yeah, Will's look totally different now, like a yummy chocolate. 😀 Though I believe that just oiling won't get rid of the threads sticking out.

Even though I never oiled the handle itself, only blade, joint, and spring a little bit, the micarta darkened for about 3/4 length and it looks much prettier now. Well, it was very much oiled from the factory, but I thought I washed it all away. I think I'll just see how it goes from now.

I picked up a textured micarta 47 harvester yesterday at the factory store. Last year I talked myself out of buying one. I recently had regrets about missing out, so feel fortunate to have gotten one!

Are folks still enjoying theirs?

I certainly hope the one I purchased is enjoyed. I gifted it to my father in law!

I'm now considering obtaining one for myself 🤣
