GEC #48 Dogleg Jack

Whilst cooling my heels, and impatiently drumming the table top (waiting for the Diamonds!!), I thought I'd post a pic of some GEC #48s;

There was a surprising variation in them, and it continues as we speak!!

Great looking bunch Charlie. I'm excited for the diamonds as well! The bloodwood arrived today.

Have an antique amber jigged on the way with a Rotten Banana Improved on order.
One of the two might end up on the chopping block if I get a call from a modern fixed blade manufacturer about my knife being available to be made.

So I will have a hard time deciding, too bad we all know how that under conflict goes...

Geesh, Charlie! Wow, those are great! Got my Bloodwood in yesterday, and today I bought a mint 2013 Autumn Gold Jig Bone (488213EC) from a friend. Just wetting my appetite for the Diamond Jacks! :D

The gorgeous uniform sheen coming off these Bloodwoods is a credit to GEC's finishing process... they did well! Congrats!

The bloodwoods have have a very classic look to them, at least to my eye. Maybe because they are less adorned. I'm looking forward to mine.

Finally got some pictures of my Bloodwood #48 that showed up in the mail yesterday. Having sorted out a small issue with the edge (more detail in the Let's Talk GEC thread), I'm quite happy with it. I wasn't sure about the long, slim clip, but I think I'll end up liking more than I expected. Going to carry this one for a while, use it and see how I feel about it.

Beautiful pics of a great blade.

Barrett, that Bloodwood looks great! I think the slim clip is just right with this frame. Should have one in hand next week, and will post a pic or two.

You're making me anxious/impatient waiting for mine.

Grail status for sure, Drew.

This old tan is the only one I have left. Used to be a favorite, but I don't carry it much anymore. Something about the design of this frame that just makes the W&T so nice. It snaps in every position so nice.

Dang, Eric, that is a beauty!

The Bloodwood is my first #48, but I can certainly agree with you, Eric, that the walk and talk is very nice on this pattern.

Wow... wait until dispatch184 (Drew) sees these! Those are beautiful.

I find it odd that I place and paid for a preorder for an amber jigged, and I am awaiting order fulfillment...
Had I of waited and purchased it directly from the 3+ vendors that have them available (including whereI ordered from), my order would have already been shipped...

/rant off
