GEC #48 Dogleg Jack

The hounds tooth shield fits the 48 nicely. Would like to see that shield on the upcoming run (if/when there is one).

Looking forward to more Hawthornes

Thank you for the kind words Gevo, Erik, and Robb. Mike at Ck.net did a great sfo in this one.

AL, I definitely have an appreciation for the 48's! However the Hawthorne version has eluded me thus far. I would be on board for another chance to get one. Yours is a stellar example!
However, that being said, I also like the standard single clip version quite well. I am quite sure one of our friends from Texas shares this sentiment! ;) This is a recycled photo from last spring, but I haven't used it in this thread before. :D

The diamond UNxLDs are great too . Does anyone know whether that made a single blade? I've seen them but wasnt sure if they were modified jacks .

^^^I've always liked the jigging on that particular tidioute ( cranberry ?)

Thanks John! It is indeed Cranberry Jigged Bone! :D

I agree with Txjohn, that's one good looking knife, Ron! I don't know that I've ever seen one in that particular configuration (or if I have, I don't recall it).

Thanks for the compliment Barrett! It was one of my exchange purchases. The right place at the right time sorta thing! :D

Hopefully we see something else besides a clip point. I like clip point blades, but (I think) all prior runs have been clip points. Might be a good opportunity to do a lambsfoot?

I very much like these in Barehead.

What would be even better would be Barehead with all stainless construction. Diamond/Acorn/Corset shield, mmmhhhh....

I always preferred the standard clip over the muskrat. That being said, I would take the muskrat in a heartbeat if they didn't make the taller standard clip...

I'll be keeping my ear to the ground on this one.

Come to think of it, Muskrat/Wharncliffe was the combo on the #48 Improved Trappers.
I could go for one of those.

If they do a single blade, or even a double, with covers that I like I will certainly be tempted. Especially, if they try a new
shield for this pattern such as a long bar.

I did not know of the "Hawbaker" muskrat and I am now hoping for this to be the case!
