Not sure if seeing it makes the wait for mine better or worse!? It’s in Canada now so hopefully Monday, more likely Tues or Wed...
That is definitely a 55. This pattern really does look good with a wharncliff blade.MCar Could that be a 55 in your picture ?
I get the 56 & 55 mixed up. I believe the only difference is one is the reverse dogleg, but whic one dogs which way confuses me.
I to am excited about the run of 56s and hope to get a single spear.
That is a very handsome knife Paul. Do you still have the Natural Canvas #18 Beagle. If so, let's see the two together.

The only difference between the 55's and 56's is that the 55's have half stops and the 56's do not.

Did they ever make a one blade 56 ?
Yes, there was a 56 Weaver Jack with a hawksbill single blade.Did they ever make a one blade 56 ?
Ha! I was thinking of you as I compared the two together when it arrived, kinda the Danny Devito/Arnold Schwarzenegger Twins thingThat is a very handsome knife Paul. Do you still have the Natural Canvas #18 Beagle. If so, let's see the two together.
hunter, very good walk n talk, pull is a 6ish, maybe 7, typical GEC finished product and I really like the Satin bolsters. I think the frame gives it a "smaller than it actually is" feel to it.Very nice Paul, how does it feel in hand? Walk and talk?
It will be well worth the wait spydergNot sure if seeing it makes the wait for mine better or worse!? It’s in Canada now so hopefully Monday, more likely Tues or Wed...

Ooo, you are correct, hamsco ! Some of GECs patterns make perfect sense to me (47 and 74, for example). But the 55/56 thing....I still don't get it. At any rate, it looks like the doglegs are out! That natural canvas is a looker. And I'm so happy to see a bomb shield!

Great looking knife, Will! Is that "Grizzly Cut" bone? It seems darker than most.
