I have an ironwood on the way. This question is a real quandary for me. Normally, everything I buy I put to use right away and this one does looks like the perfect EDC traditional knife. But at the same time, I know what this knife is worth to both collectors and on the secondary market (not that I'd ever contemplate flipping the knife).

Any one else have similar neurotic knife thoughts when it comes to potentially valuable knives?

Sure. And sometimes I even break my own rules. But the question that's important - no matter the money I might make (especially when I bought the knife at dealer price and not secondary), will I want the knife back later and then be willing to pay more than I paid from the dealer. I've had to go out and hunt down some knives that I sold before, including one Copperhead 77...

The non-Elderberry could grow on me. ;) It is a nice knife. I’m a little partial to single blades, but these are 2 of my favorite blades.

The clip is absolutely perfect with great pull and snap. However you rate the clip, the coping blade is a good 1-2 stronger on mine with very weak snap.

I love the color on your Elderberry (or non-Elderberry). It looks great!

The secondary will get better snap with a good washing/oil flushing, and some use. The bolsters and pivot are really tight.

I’m getting excited for Wednesday. I hope my saw cut looks that dark.
Waiting for Wednesday, too. I'm not so thrilled with how pink the Elderberries look, but I'm hoping I like mine when I see it in person. Trying not to be jealous of the Ironwoods. I'm happy to have gotten one at all.

Very pleased with these. I love the ironwood and my daughter called dibs on the pinkberry which is growing on me. I showed a pic of square versus round butt. I personally prefer the round but I think I'm the minority. I like how they melt in your hand, not in your mouth

Side note my copings woke up their W&T with a quick WD40 flush.

Also a big Thank you to Mike for enduring all the headaches. I appreciate all your efforts.

Wish mine was a bit more pink with more white splotches, but I'm really happy with this knife. A smoothbone with a squared butt. How could I not love it?

Wash it with really hot water with a toothbrush. That die will leave quickly.

Mine is due Wednesday, as well. Great to hear about the improvement on the secondary.

Also agree wholeheartedly about how much appreciation I am feeling for the stress you endured to get this round out to us, Mike. I just hope the experience hasn't soured you on doing another batch.
