Haha, yes! Great minds....

All of these pictures from the new run have made me jealous. So I'm pocketing my much used spearpoint today.

What a knife that is, that knife there is a beaut. I prefer the plain long pull to the match strike pull, just my preference, seems like the plain one just isn't as loud.

Great blade!!!! I miss my micarta single spear blade....I'm carrying my copper head saw cut from the last run today in anticipation of my new saw cut on the way!

Thanks. The unembelished long pull is definitely more clean and utilitarian looking; maybe more fitting of a work inspired pattern such as the barlow. The canvas micarta and spear point blade just add to the hard use character of the pattern. The oversized 77 frame, 2-layer variation, and all-steel construction give that heavy duty and solid feel in the hand, that just plays even further into the barlow ethic, if you ask me. I personally consider this one single barlow variation to be the ultimate depiction of the traditional working knife.

But that new matchstrike pinchable clip is just so darned pretty, and that fine tip is wonderfully handy to use. This new run is truly one for the ages. I'm having a hard time reasoning how any other variations of the 77 couldn't be considered as a step down from the last three runs. I think Mike has reached his zenith with the 77 barlow.

Favorites everyone? I'd have to say the sawcut and the ironwood are the Belle's of the ball

Aesthetically, the red sawcut is the definite winner, followed closely by the ironwood. I'm not a fan of the elderberry at all.

The micarta is my overall favorite of this run, just because I love tough micarta covers on a working knife. But the looks don't a candle to that sawcut.

Mike's new run of 77s with the clip blade and matchstrike pull look great but that spear point 77 would look much better with a bail.

Yea, my dad got the elderberry covers and we both couldn't warm up to em, we tried but just couldn't get there. Fortunately we both got an ironwood knife but have to wait till Wednesday. The pictures of them look beautiful, can't wait

You're preaching to the choir, of course. As a dedicated scout pattern collector, I think every knife should have a bail. LOL
