There's a fair few still around.[/]

Copperhead bone has a lot going for,it. Several colors blending into one another. I like it

I've been using Osage Orange for years on knife handles. Ruined many drill bits breaking them off drilling out hidden tangs and burning up a few bits too. Osage looks really good on slip joint folders and will age well with use. Glad to see it being used . Thanks for posting
One of these days we might even see Honey Locust on a slip joint or Black Locust!

Jake that is a good pick. I've thought about grabbing that one as well. I think yellow bone and patina just goes well together.

Correct. It's my understaning that Charlie helped with the peachseed jigging and color.

I read on a woodworking forum that if you want to keep the color of Osage Orange bright (It will turn dark over time) use Son-of-a-Gun auto interior protectant.

Jake, that Yellow Rose is awesome. The UN_X_LD goes the extra mile in finish. Thanks for that tip Mark.

Thank you Steve I love it for sure! Perfect fit and finish, walk and talk and zero blade rub. It really is a perfect example and I was drawn to this one because of the black flecks in the yellow bone. Some people consider these flaws but I look for the ones with character and variation. :)

I've been using the main blade for food. I keep the blade clean with some silver polish. Although it does remove some of the etch you can stillsee it slightly. With the cleaning it still manages to get spotty. I've been thinking of using gun blue for the steel. I was cutting some onion up and the steel was turning parts of the onion brown. I think the blue may stop this and stop giving food that taste. Anyonehavesome good results with gun blue?

I had an osage stockman, and had to sell it, but really liked the 81 pattern, GEC executed this one really well, so I got a natural stag one, these photos show it new, it has since been put to use, and is ageing well:
