Gec 81. Tidioute Abilene Stockman in Osage Orange

I've been using the main blade for food. I keep the blade clean with some silver polish. Although it does remove some of the etch you can stillsee it slightly. With the cleaning it still manages to get spotty. I've been thinking of using gun blue for the steel. I was cutting some onion up and the steel was turning parts of the onion brown. I think the blue may stop this and stop giving food that taste. Anyonehavesome good results with gun blue?

Don't use gun bluing if you plan to use it for food prep as it is toxic. If you just let it take on a patina then after a while the weird taste will go away. If you're wanting to keep it looking new & cut fruits & veggies just buy a big tube of flitz metal polish & polish the blade out at the end of the day. :)
