I think I will just get the red micarta and call it a day. It's a fine looking knife IMHO.

I was just able to snag one. The Waynorth version looks amazing but I doubt I would even have a chance. Not sold on the red micarta but there are a lot of great people to do recovers if it doesn't grow on me

i had big plans for this knife the second i saw it. well, great considerations at least. behold, my last spare waynorth blade

it would be just swell to land two so I could keep one mint and one for the swap, but these days if i get even one, id probably really consider getting it done.

Well, to each his own, of course. If I happen to just love a knife overall, which is the case here, I won't mind it having some minor details that don't really appeal to me (as long as it's not something offensive or else, you get the idea). But that attitude of mine might last right until they start etching an Urban Jack bearded barber guy on every model.

I put zero weight into the etch on my purchase decision because it can be covered with a nice patina. They could put a Bud Light logo on the blade, and I would still buy it.
