GEC 86’s for 2023

C.C. Rider brings Joe Namath in C.C and Company eating a sandwich in the store and asking for stamps at the checkout to mind.

Clip vs Spear debate rages on. For me it comes down to the ability to clean under my fingernails, can't stand gunk there. Spears don't have a sharp enough tip for the job. The hump on the spine of clips make them stick up a little higher, easier to pinch open. While I prefer the thinness of a single blade, the punch is well suited for a variety of tasks besides leatherwork. Great for scraping / punching holes in most anything, but not prying! My HJ punch has a stiffer pull than the main, probably just needs oil and broken in as the springs are the same width and probably the same hardness. Micarta is great for a user, warming up to it. I like the etches but that's a personal thing. Shield could be better centered (closer to center pin than pin by bolster ... again) is my only nit. Have a great weekend!

Wow Charlie those turned out amazing! I especially like the Empire shield on there!
Sorry if I missed it earlier in the thread...but what would you call that shield pattern?
I think of it as an enhanced banner!! I've never seen it on a non-Empire knife!! Except for Schrade, who used it in the 1980s, and gave credit to Empire for the design, in Schrade's advertising!!

i dont think I will have the good luck to get one of the HJ's, but does anyone have a link to or list of waynorth waynorth 's dealers? His Waynorth website is gone......?

Id imagine all the places that take early reserves are spoken for. Theres a couple shops that sell them via drops though if i remember correctly, perhaps TKC and KSF?
I think gunstock jacks does a drop as well, with at least some of what he gets.
