GEC #92 Talon GiveAway + 2 Handmade BluntCut Fixed Blades

I'n in.
First knife I bought was Roselli hunter and I still have it, folding traditional was Buck 301,now in friend's pocket.

I'm in! And many thanks for such a fantastic and generous GAW! My first traditional was a Case Swayback Jack in chestnut bone and CV. Love that knife. In addition, the #92 is currently my favorite GEC pattern and I have a Eureka Jack and spearpoint single blade in green micarta. This #92 would fit in perfectly. :D Thanks again for the opportunity and Happy, Healthy New Year!

I'm in! Thank you for the opportunity!
The first knife I can remember buying was an Uncle Henry medium stockman back in my teens.

I'M IN!!

In November I bought myself a nice Case XX pen knife with a yellow delrin handle. I carry it t o work every day and can't remember what I did before I carried a pocket knife. I truly get a ton of use out of it.

I became interested in pocket knives once again after my grandfather passed away and I received his Case XX Trapper from his estate. A friend of mine took it, resharpened it, and cleaned it up so that it looks brand new. It was a wonderful gift and memory of my grandfather that I now own. Another friend recently gave me a Boker small stockman and I also bought my dad a medium Case XX stockman for Christmas.

Very nice of you to give away such a nice knife! Best wishes!

im in thanks!
my first knife i bought my self was a camillus 65..i worked my ass off saving up to have a knife just like my grandpa... and actually he paid for it but i did all the work..back in 1984 i was 10. man i was so proud of it, of course being a 10 year old i lost it..here is a pic of his, mine had ivory handles instead of the butter molasses...

Thanks for all the entries guys, it's very cool to hear everyone's first knife purchase.
I'm in. I believe the first knife I bought with my own money was a Buck 110. That was a l o n g time ago. Bought it in my home town in western PA. The first new Knife paid for by my parents was a Kamp King. Had hand me down Barlows from my grandfather that were worn out before that. Haven't received any knives from the forum.
Whereabouts in Western PA are you? (If you don't mind me asking)

I'm in and thank you for the opportunity. The first knife I bought was a made in Japan 5" single blade sawcut bone Barlow I purchased at a gas station/bait shop near my grandparents lake house when I was about 12 years old in the 70's. I still have it somewhere and believe it was a Sabre that I paid $8 for that I had earned helping my grandmother bury a trash can full of longnose gar in her melon garden. Several of my buddies at school had Barlows and I had wanted one for awhile. It was a piece of junk not nearly as good a knife as the Victorinox I had been carrying but I loved it nonetheless. Last time I looked it has gone up in value as much as 50%.

Not an entry, but thanks for the gesture. The first traditional I got was a little buck 110 from a friend of mine.

I'm not in because I have won, many times over, the generosity of the forum. I've been looking at the Talon a lot lately, thank you for passing yours on!!

My first real slipjoint was one I should have bought, but was young and it found its way into my pocket without exchange of funds I'm afraid. It never set well with me, I try to be more moral than that, but sometimes you do dumb things when you are 14. Another member was describing his late fathers knife, and it sounded like my Boker. Well turns out it was just like he remembered his dad's knife, so it became his, hopefully returning good Karma to the tool. I do wish I knew who to pass on the whole $7.50 I should have paid, but gun show tables come and go. Just thought I'd share my take on your rules.

Please, if my post # is chosen, give it to whomever posted in post 26 (haven't read the other posts yet so not playing favourites) just want my favourite number to win if I cant!!

I'm in.

My first traditional knife was an old timer stockman when the news that Schrade was closing came out. I ran down to Kmart and bought a large and small. I've gone hot and cold on traditionals since then but for the Kay few years I've really had the bug.

I'm in! My first traditional purchase was a case yellow sodbusters jr. Thanks for the chance!

Thanks for the chance. That is a beautiful Talon.

Queen Splitback Whittler in D2 with Curly Zebra.

I'm in! Just got my first actually a case mini trapper in CV. Been really getting into the traditionals lately, watching soloknifereviews and ApostleP's stuff, too bad my wallet isn't as big as my obsessive collecting compulsion :D

I have to say 'I'm in'. To be honest, I don't enter the GAW's much because I'm not the guy who wins things. Ever. Anyway, those are some fine looking blades and I would not complain one bit if I owned any of them.

It is very thoughtful of you to offer these!

The first traditional knife I bought for myself was a either a Case Swayback Gent in orange peachseed jig or a Case Tiny Toothpick in lime green jig..... I purchased them at about the same time and don't remember which was first. The Swayback is my favorite of the two.

I'm in and thanks for the opportunity. The first traditional I bought is a case trapper in red jigged bone in cv. I don't get to carry it as much as i like, as I'm in high school.

I'm in as well and thanks for the nice offer! My first knife was a Barlow with carbon steel blades, don't remember the maker, may have been a Boker. Thanks again and Happy New Year!

Awesome giveaway! Count me in, if I qualify. My first was an opinel #6 in stainless. Bought it after reading an article about the world's 100 best designed items. The opinel was on the list.

I'm in thanks for the opportunity! My first was a case trapper with green jigged bone it sits in my night stand drawer!
