Gec bullnose

Just picked up a 71 for my first GEC. Was a bit pricey and thinking I should have gotten a new 72 lock back. Having buyers remorse. So many damn cool knives.

My 71 is my most carried knife. I love it to death and I think you will too. I don't think you could have gotten a better entry level GEC.

It’s very tough pull correct. Should I not let it snap shut. Thing is a tank

They're exceptionally well built knives. I just let mine snap shut. The only worry with doing that is with blade wrap which is when the knife shuts with so much force that the blade hits the bottom of the spring and dulls the edge. This is an issue that I heard older 71's had but mine didn't have it. If yours does end up having that issue you can either close the knife slowly or sharpen the blade till it removes enough material (which shouldn't be a a lot) that the edge doesn't hit the spring. As far as I understand this is a fairly rare issue so I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks. My buck saunter is such a good knife. I should have stopped there. Hopefully this grows on me with some carry time
