As, I've mentioned on this forum in the past, they need to do a 47 hay n helper wrapped in canvas micarta. Or, even the single blade sheepfoot models. Denim too while they're at it. Given the popularity of both materials I'd think it'd be a home run for them.

Nothing wrong with delrin, & I own a few, but it's boring and uninteresting compared to the others....

Why not pick up a checkering file and add some embellishment to your delrin?

I stopped buying the #71s when they went from 01 to 1095. Nothing wrong with 1095 - I just like the Bull Nose with 01.

The only exception is Bob Andrews SFO #71 with Tortoise Shell covers and 1095.

Tortoise always looks fine on a knife and it works really well on a utility working pattern too. Nice example Ed, sad that BA is no longer with us.

I got around to sharpening my new orange 71 tonight. Reprofiling went quicker than I expected (gotta love good carbon steel), and I didn't have any of the deburring issues that others have reported. The grind is kinda fat at the tip, but I was able to thin it down without a whole lot of trouble. It took a wicked sharp edge, and is ready to get down to work in the garden tomorrow.

Sharpened, stropped, and a little patina

Really liking these, had one on me everyday since the arrived. Rounded the square edges off the handles and left all finishes at 400 grit, thinned the edge profiles (boy was the maroon THICK!) and sharpened them up. Very nice knives overall and for the price I think they are simply a steal.
