GEC Bullnose

Does anyone know if there has been any talk of the bull nose becoming a regular in the GEC line-up? I think it would be a better seller than that goofy lady's foot thing:) not that i am judging (because what the heck do i know).

Either way they knocked it out of the park, I am loving mine. Its sitting real comfy next to my Sebenza, and I can't see it going anywhere soon.

Agreed on all points. I'm enjoying my Bull Nose very much, it's starting to get a nice patina. I'm carrying mine alongside a Sebenza as well. I'd like to see more versions of the Bull Nose, smooth bone would be nice, but even other colors of delrin would be most welcome. Heck, I'd buy another black delrin if I could. If these become a regular GEC offering, I'm going to start collecting them- I like 'em that much.

I really wish they would. I'm not a marketing guru but I can't see how it would be a bad idea no matter how much I think about it.

I would like to see orange again, different variations of bone and wood and of course stag.

I agree, I cant see how it wouldn't be a great seller. It would be there lowest priced knife, and I have absolutely nothing but praise for mine. Heck I'd be happy if all they offered was the black one(i'd buy a couple more), but multiple colors, and handle material would be amazing.

I never had a Sodbuster before, they just didn't do anything for me. i don't know why I even went for this one, but it has really changed my mind. I love this thing, it's really a good knife.

The sheet Delrin they use for the handles only comes in black and orange they say, so other colors might be hard to come by. I think a canvas or linen micarta would be a good substitute, and there would be plenty of color options there. I wonder if that would raise the price too much?

I think there are plenty of guys out there who would be perfectly happy to pay $75+ for a micarta Bull Nose. I would in a heartbeat. Not that there's anything wrong with the black delrin.

The orange delrin does not come in the sheet form. They were orange rods that were melted down and poured. Thats why the orange were a couple dollars more.

Can somebody tell me where I can buy one of these, google is being unusually unhelpful... Unless it is a northwest knife company exclusive I cannot find it anywhere else, and they are out of stock.
Thanks

These were a special factory order and they are all sold out. You might be able to spot one on the exchange though.

Managed to bag one off of the exchange. Thanks to jd_elam for sending it across the pond. Have been following this knife with frustration in the UK as it looks like the perfect "work" GEC for me in my often grubby profession!

Quite excited:)

We are looking into the costing of customizing colors on delrin sheets. Variations would have to be very limited, because it would take a years worth of one color to get the pricing right.

A different color a year sounds like a great limited-edition roll-out plan to me. Gives us variety of scale colors, time to save up for it, and of course the anticipation and camaraderie of a "group buy" or at least a "group preorder".
