GEC Champlin Eureka Jack??

my white bone arrived today, very impressive, it is nice and compact (for some reason, I see photos of knives, and imagine them all to be the size of GEC #23s, and am always pleased to see how small they are when they arrive), though I normally reprofile them before use, I had to put this straight in my pocket, its going to look even better as it ages. The blade grind is nice and thin though, so it should slice really well once the profile is changed. No photos yet, but I'll add some later.

This is such a great-looking pattern. I especially like having the secondary in front of the primary with the pulls for both on the front. That's a feature which has steered away from Case jack knives, such as the swayback and peanut. It seems that years ago the secondary in front was fairly common, but not anymore? Anyway, kudos to GEC for making knives that knife people like!

Honey hush!

Northfield version is going to be the cat's pajamas. I hope they do a peach seed type jigged bone.

That's a great lookin' knife, Woodrow!

The Northfield line is gonna be sumpthin' fantastic, I'm thinkin'. There is a Rosewood version coming up next, I think. Bone and stag waitin' in the wings. The stag is gonna be a 'must have' fer me!

Oh, my poor wallet. :(

I am waiting to see what the Northfield versions look like. I really like the ivory bone Tidioute I have. The JBFs are beautiful, fine knives, but I don't know if I can bring myself to use them.

This is the next handle material.... Lord help me! Back to beans and rice.

Lookit the Stag on that!!! Finished items look superb

Incidentally, what is Che Chen Rosewood??? Some Chinese style thing?? Or do they mean Chechen from the Caucasus? Lot of good Black Walnut comes from there.

So, I couldn't resist!
I think the story behind the wood harvested for these knives is so cool, and the package that was put together, including the openers, the neat boxes and the enclosed cards is just so perfectly done. I just had to put it all together in a shadow box. Don't worry though...the knives are held in place with elastic so they can be removed very easily if I decide to carry them.

That is the BOMB, as my Granddaughters would say..
