GEC Champlin Eureka Jack??

Bone is on the schedule in NF and Tidioute models. Color... unknown. GEC wanted to show some samples of the new 64 at the Blade Show, so they put the 92 bone aside, but it will be very soon.

The #92 looks real good in burnt stag (but I still prefer the barehead versions):

This might be the first time I've considered dropping the cash for Natural Stag. I'll have to wait to see what the bone is. Did someone say Antique Yellow...

The bone is in the works, rest assured. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised! :)

Just saw a pic this morning on the Champlin website: they posted a pic of a knife they're considering for the next release: something called a "plumber whittler." Still waiting to see what kind of bone GEC uses for the #92.

Interesting, it might need it's own thread. :)

My guess is it will be Antique Yellow with end caps. That's my prediction, and I'm stickin' to it.

I figure it will have end caps, but antique yellow, horse cut, barehead would be sweet. This particular pattern just looks sweet in barehead...... except maybe the stag ones.

Yes, if you look close there is a photo of the 92 NF in bone; thanks Bob! There is a better pict under the 64 LB gallery; no. 2 of 49 got thrown in by accident. Sure looks like the Antique Yeller 92 to me. :) Woodrow, you've looked at the 92STL in Antique Green, right? It's a barehead with some real nice antique looking bone in coarse jigging. I'd thought that would be right in your sweet spot!

rma100, thanks. I didn't see those pictures earlier.

Gotts one. I was looking at getting another. :)

Yeah, that's it!

I think the 92 NF's will be along shortly in AY, but there should also be a Tidioute version in another bone color if I'm not mistaken.

Looks like Autumn Gold in the Northfield line and two styles of a new color "calico bone" for the Tidioutes, both smooth and jigged. Lookin' good!

This is one of those patterns that I didn't much care for the look of before. Never thought they were ugly, but a little too weird for me. Lately I've come to really appreciate this style of it though Maybe one is in my future. Not high on the list so I won't be getting one anytime soon if at all, but I do really like the look of them now. Cap end ones are alright, but I feel this pattern looks much nicer barehead. Undecided on whether I prefer the look of the standard nick or long pull more. On a lot of patterns I prefer the long pull, but I think the standard nick might suit this one better. I think the long straight pull doesn't quite match this crooked line of the handle. Functional looking knife regardless.
