GEC Huckleberry Boy's Knife

Historically having "scout" engraved on the shield is authentic to the style GEC is offering with this version of the #15 - thankfully they chose to omit the "shackle" (who here wears a knife on a belt clip like 1950 era Boy Scouts?) I think they did a great job of recapturing the nostalgic look of one of the earliest "scout" knives. OH

Excellent example OH! I can't wait to get my hands on this one. :cheerful:

Thanks Barry, here is the one I have on order - according to the USPS tracking number I should have it this Friday - I'm pretty excited about getting this one! OH

The Boy's Knife shown in Bob's picture (oldhundredcollectibles.com) came today (obviously I used his photo); I took my own picture a few minutes ago. This is a splendid knife - blades centered correctly, perfect amount of opening and closing snap, very positive half-stops, nicely fitted & mildly figured Ebony handles - GEC lived up to their reputation with this knife. OH

Darn! More decisions. This knife hasgrown on me since Isaw it at GEC. I wish I wouldnhave handledthe2blade version while I was there to get a better feel for the size. I like the ebony and yellow, but already have a few of them. Maybe a rust red? Just cant decide which one. My original though was a single blade antique yellow though. Anyone else get on to be ableto post pics???

Nice Spearpoint Avoidspam - gotta add one of those myself. Here is a much better likeness of the original New York Knife Company Official BSA pocketknives (only two of them then) from a 1911 advertisement in the original BSA Scout Handbook. OH

Guys and Gals,
I'm a bit late on these but I've been able to pick up a few of them and I'll tell you, they feel almost perfect! I've got two of the Huckleberry Boys Knives and the other is a Sawyer Barlow. They seem to be the same design with a different bolster for the barlow of course. These feel so right in your hand and are built super solid. I much prefer the spear blade and so thats what I have to show today. I'll be searching for some more of these in different handles. What a great knife for GEC to make and I see that they're expanding on the design with differnt blades and styles!

I've got one of the single blade barehead jacks "mistakes". Does anyone know if there are any barehead two blade jacks out there? Spearpoints?
