Fed Ex is simply awful. I collect books and one of my preferred publishers strictly uses Fed Ex for their shipping needs. At first, monitoring the tracking was an exercise in amusement, now I no longer even bother looking. It is difficult for me to fathom why a package should have to enter my state two or three times before it ends up at my door...
Thought I would drop this here. The Micarta looks good on this pattern, I suspect this will make a lot of folks pretty happy. I really want to see that jigged bone though, I am getting impatient.

Well not sure what the process was but it looked like mine was masked off on the edges and sprayed with something . I think the lighter run personally looks much better and more natural. The process is not a painted process, just to nix that for future readers as well. Otherwise, they would have all been "painted" similarly. The intended look was the dark over light, or at least it always has been; my guess is something happened to cause the lighter models this run.

My light one will be here by the weekend and will post some pics when it arrivesChris, told me they are dyed when I emailed and I am guessing that this bone may have been more dense than some earlier Pioneer runs and just did not take the dye as deeply. I have a really dark one on the way but am liking the look of some of the very light ones I have seen now.
Mike - I received my frontier bone #43 today, only two days after it shipped! ThanksWe started offering these to Early Reserves on the 20th. And every knife that was sold had the following note on the product page. Thus, I don't know what day your knife shipped, but it was ahead of schedule if you have already received it..... My apologies if that was not clear.

Welcome to the addiction!Hello first post, I didn't see an introduction tread so here I am. My 43 arrived yesterday, no issues at all, smooth transitions between all surfaces, no chips, no defects, no gaps, no problems. I was starting to worry after reading this thread. Thanks, Mike
GEC is funny and gets me in trouble all the time. If I order 20 jigged cherry, they will ship everyone a few on Friday - so I get 10 on Monday for example. Then they don't ship again until Wednesday, which leaves me getting the other 10 on the next Friday.... In the meantime the other dealers that get theirs on Monday are posting them and everyone thinks I forgot about them.
