Nice can’t wait to get home so I can check mine out .The beaver (tail) has landed. I like it a lot, even bigger than I expected. Only complaint is that they chamfered the edges of the cherry wood on the sides but not tail edge of the scales Will get pics up soon!

Got my beaver tail today. Big knife! But it feels good. As others have mentioned the tail (ha) is a little rough. Putting a lanyard on there may limit contact as well. Otherwise it's perfectly centered and transitions are very good. Easy to pinch.

Your cherry looks lighter but maybe just the lighting . As far as putting oil on my covers I personally didn’t . Came with a very nice finish on the cherry . For carry with any of my jeans in a leather slip it carry’s small to me . Wouldn’t wear dress slacks though with this big little guy thoughMy Beaver Tail arrived in the mail yesterday. I use to like carrying a 4 1/4" knife but not since I started wearing Wranglers - pockets smaller than Levis. So, after I took pictures, I sprayed it down with Rem Oil and put it back in it's wrapper and tube and that's probably where it will stay until I pass and they're going through my stuff to see who gets what.
As some of you know, I don't normally like blade etches and usually remove them but since this blade etch is pertinent to the shield and name of the knife, I left the etch as is. Nothing spectacular about the knife - pretty much run of the mill for GEC. I didn't oil the covers to make them shine for my pictures as some of you did for your pictures of the jigged Brazilian Cherry. Just took the pictures of it as it came from the tube/wrapper.
