GEC new #43 pattern, who’s excited?

These are looking very nice. I guess I had better find a way to get one of the camel bone ones. I have a boat load of 23's already buuuut......would be a shame not to try one out. Anyone have a comparison picture of one next to a #23?

Your cherry looks lighter but maybe just the lighting . As far as putting oil on my covers I personally didn’t . Came with a very nice finish on the cherry . For carry with any of my jeans in a leather slip it carry’s small to me . Wouldn’t wear dress slacks though with this big little guy though:)
Btw yours looks great Sir !
Couldn’t fight the temptation to carry mine today
No problems with a frontier in a slip with slacks. The micarta and the beaver tail should be even easier to carry. They look to be a lot thinner than the frontier bone. I put my Camillus 51 up and have been carrying my 43 everyday since I got it.

One of Mike's large, clipped pocket sheaths would be ideal for a #43. Here is my #42 in the sheath. Very comfortable to carry and you can't beat the ease of access.

I’m actually running a KSF slip I had laying around, fits and works great !

M Mitt very nice !
The one I have is for my shuffler so it’s a little to small for my trapper and didn’t want to stretch It out .

Sat on the fence for a while, and after handling a 74 Stallion I got excited about this one. Seems like it'll be an awesome duty blade. I went with the canvas. I don't really like the Northfield blades with the nick in a swedge, as I think the swedge removes too much of the meat from the blade where you'd want to grab, but it seems like the pull on these is nice enough that a cloud shield Cocobolo Northfield might be in order for me, too.

And the beat goes on .... lol it’s hard to stop buying these there so nice !!

Sure not a problem but can’t until this evening unfortunately.

On the fly so hopefully this will work for you . If not I can post some traditionals with the Trapper for a size comparison later .But I’m sure some others will chime in To help you out before then .

Is that GEC’s factory edge on there, or have you sharpened it? Obviously not a close up, but it looks good from here.
Thats one thing I forgot to mention .
I’d like to take credit but it’s Gec’s factory edge and razor sharp !! Sharpest Gec out of the tube I ever owned .
Amazing factory edge even on both sides to !

Thanks man. If you still want to post it with some other traditionals that's cool, as I'd be happy to see. But I know the PM2, and that looks like I'm gonna dig it.
