Just a suggestion Logan : I always suggest carrying Stag with Brass Liners in an Appropriate Leather Slip to reduce Verdigris . In a slip , a proud tip is not nearly as big of a deal .After sharpening twice mine still has blade rap. I see where it's hitting the back spring now, there's a little divot from the edge. I decided to put a little piece of receipt paper where the kick lands. Hopefully that fixes it. I am really picky about proud tips, but I don't love blade rap either. Hate to see a freshly put on sharp edge get rolled when you close it.
That sounds like it would work. That is how I true a framing square..but if "I" were to try it the blade would certainly breakJust a suggestion Logan : I always suggest carrying Stag with Brass Liners in an Appropriate Leather Slip to reduce Verdigris . I also read somewhere on the Forums that you could Peen close to the tip of the tang to elongate the tip a little to raise the tip . I have never tried that , so I can not say if it works or not . I would expect that it would though .

North American Cattle Bone.In reference to the bull shield on the green bones anyone know what NACB stands for?
I like the squirel slip ☺Thanks for the suggestions Harry! I looked at my slips and only one fits the #43, and it's canvas type material. Wish it fit in the squirrel slip!

I'd be nervous to try the peening technique. Don't want to mess up. Maybe if it still has rap by August I'll ask them to take a look at it at the Rendezvous.

Thanks! I can stop refreshing my browsers now.
I hadAre the stags here and gone? I can't seem to find any indication that there are more going up for sale. If anyone has info shoot me a message.
You guys, I can’t find anything wrong with this knife. Perfectly centered blade. Zero blade rap. Everything perfectly flush. Gorgeous grain. Push-cut-phonebook-paper sharp. Stiffer pull than my micarta 43 — I’d say a solid 6. And it has the walk and talk that just tickles all the right spots.
I’ve never considered keeping any of my knives off limits to use but I might have to start with this one...

Just realized I didn’t give the pile side of this beauty any (well deserved) attention yesterday.
