GEC new #43 pattern, who’s excited?

Isn't that # 43 a nice hand full ??? I like mine so much , I wish that I also had one of the Camel Bone Creamsicles for and EDC , but I can't buy them all .

After a couple weeks of use, I'm still very happy with my micarta 43. The darned thing is pretty close to perfection, as far as I'm concerned, for a single blade knife. I find myself looking for reasons to use it.

Nice cocobolo! I've got mine today as well. Without looking, it seems to me that the lanny's clips have a bit more curve to the butt of the handle than the 43. Am I wrong in thinking that?

I think the #43 may be the closest thing GEC has to a Lanny's Clip . But to me , it sounds like you just want a Lanny's Clip . How do they compare in size ??? The GEC #23 IS 4 &1/2 . The Case Back Pocket is 4 & 5/8 . But if you just want a Lanny's Clip , then go for it . You deserve it Taylor !!!!!!

Hahaha I like em I just can't justify it when I can get two or three GEC...maybe one day I will go after a custom Lanny!!!

My sentiments exactly Taylor !!!! So many nice knives , so little time !!! At my spending rate over the last 3 years , I could have had 8 custom knives , but there were so many knives that needed a new home .
Have you tried a Case Saddlehorn yet ??? It has even more of a curved handle than Lanny's Clip , but it is only 3 & 1/2 long and a little too short for me to really like , even though I do have 2 .

There were some earlier versions that were longer that can be found .

Wow those are nice. I will have to check that pattern out. I have a feeling GEC won't do a Lanny. It would definitely saturate the market for that pattern. I think eventually I will get a Lanny. The right one at the right time will show up...but man GEC makes a great production knife.
 
When I first got my frontier I was a little skeptical about the bulk of it. It’s a lot wider than the other 43s, not including the stag. The added width does make it fit comfortably in the hand. I think this may have beaten out my tried and trusted stockman for an edc and after 28 years of carry I didn’t think it was possible.

I don’t know why but these two go together like a good patina on a PPP 43. ;)

I thought the original 74 forum knife was modelled on the Lanny's Clip? Now I am even more confused :(
