GEC Rendezvous 2023 Announced

But I did grab this candid of Charlie as he just got to GEC and was talking with one of the attendees, many people were waiting on his arrival, seemed about the same as you'd see at a Taylor Swift concert with fans swooning at the sight of him! well maybe not all that...;)

You've been to a Taylor Swift concert, too?😍LoL!
Thanks for the report, Gary! Hope you have a great day!

nice to see you made it!!
Almost skipped this year but was glad to be there. I can't speak for Friday, as my buddy and I have attended Saturdays only so far, but today was much less hectic and very well planned. Upon arrival we were told there was sign in notebook, so you were given your ticket to enter the store based on what order folks arrived, as upposed to a mad rush to form a line and keep your spot.

Here’s some rendezvous loot. They had out some special pieces this year for sure
Wow, outstanding! That 77 is something! Nice 25s too! So they dug out '17 knives and etched them as '23 rendezvous specials, and I wonder how many past years' specials they still holding to release some day.

Sounds like a good time. This thread needs more pics. Seen a few factory pics online, would like to see more and the surrounding area.

It was my first Rendezvous and I had a great time meeting everyone. Below are some pictures of knives I bought in the store or traded for out in front of the factory.

This was also my first picnic and it was an amazing time; I got some awesome knives But more importantly I met some amazing people and had some wonderful conversations. It was great to meet some of the greats like Charlie, Lyle, and of course Bill and William. Heynowwww Heynowwww , and Travman Travman it was great to meet you and chat as well. Anyone else where I may not have connected you name to the BF handle… cheers! And also to some of the dealers that were there, great conversations and great people!

I camped out Thursday night, and while I may not do that again…. It was splendid experience. Chatting late into the night with folks about knives and life and enjoying some beverages. I rolled over on my keys and hit the panic button on my car so if a car alarm woke you up in the middle of the night, it was me and I’m sorry! 😅

I passed on the rendezvous knifes; but made a great haul (the 77 alone was worth it!!) . I’ll be getting some more picture up/taken but here are a bunch of my grabs, the area, and the event, and the factory. I ventured past the picnic area and took some glamor shots at down in the oil creek - beautiful area.

*I have some other pictures of people and their collections but don’t want to post them without their permission. It was great to see others sharing this hobby and passion.

It was a grand time for sure and I hope to make it again next year.
