GEC White glow in the dark Bullnose!

Arg. I haven't been paying attention to the F&F Bullnose Work Knives since I can't buy any, but this thread doesn't help. I was going to have a tough choice between black or orange, but now GITD sounds interesting.

It's always a tough choice.......

The spey blade gives it very much the sodbuster look.

Woody.....

As per Ed "Mike from Collector Knives " and maybe there might be one or two...

In case anybody's interested, this is what it looks like with a GEC bail on it - also available from collectorknives.net

A nice take on the soddie pattern. I have a question for all you Bullnose fans though, why? Maybe I'm just too biased towards natural handle materials, but if I was in the market for a nice user in the ~ $50 price range, the easy choice for me is the Beavertail Scout. Wood handles, cool beaver shield, and bolsters for just a few dollars more. Doesn't seem to me as if you get as much for your money with the Bullnose, unless of course you choose it because you prefer the 01 steel, in which case I totally understand.

I do think that's a valid alternative. Some folks might prefer a jigged wood handled knife with a cute little beaver shield.

Others may prefer glow in the dark handles and O1 steel.

I'm just happy to have the choice.

Touché. Thanks for the laugh. I guess I don't understand the rabid enthusiasm for the Bullnose, and the near despondency of some when it is sold out given the availability of alternatives.

I wasn't excited about the knife but decided I wanted a "Redneck" (for sentimental reasons ;) ).

I looked for one after they announced the discontinuation of the brand but it looked like they were all sold out... sunnyd said he got the last one and I thought he might be right but I found one more. I wouldn't say that I was particularly excited about it. I'm happy with my Case sodbusters and figured it would just collect dust. But the Redneck arrived today and it IS really nice. I'm looking forward to receiving the glow-noses.

Oh, forgot to say Jake that I'm glad you finally got your Redneck. I think you're really going to enjoy it.

But the Redneck arrived today and it IS really nice.

This is the only type of occasion I really say I told you so :D

Im really glad you like it, Jake.

I remember when I got my test run I couldn't see how I, or anyone for that matter, could take a photo that would translate the in person 'niceness' of these knives.
