GEN 2 skull lanyards

If I were to send you my spacer where my lanyard goes on my Sebenza 21, can you put the Lanyard threw that hole and then tie up the Lanyard? This would be a permanent Lanyard until I cut it off or untied it. Any upcharge for this as that hole is pretty small?
