so -- 10' 4" Viper kayak -- looks a lot like an Equinox 10.4 with a different label -- which gets decent reviews as a beginner 'yak.
anyone here familiar with them and are they any good?
if yes, I can score a pair for me and SWMBO for less than $350 new according to the sale flyer i got in the mail today.

Sounds like a hell of a deal, i got a fusion beach 124 kayak that goes for about 300 and it works wonderfully for the price, and Its also 10'4"
 
So i got a cryo in today, its a nice little knife and i like the design and how it opens up but it came with a horrible grind... but for 25 bucks brand new im not going to complain too much, makes me want a real hinderer with real steel though....
 
Yeah, I had to take mine to the belt sander before I could live with the edge. Much better now, and that steel really does sharpen up nicely. Reminds me a lot of a kitchen steel in the way it sharpens.
 
There is one good thing about where i live..... I ordered from "the river store" this morning at 7am.... got the knife at 230pm. same day. Im a prime member so same day local delivery is only 3.99! or free 2 day delivery.
 
Picked up a kershaw camp 10. Planning on putting it to use this weekend. I'd have gotten the bk9, but didn't have the money and was in the market for a new chopper.

Yea for the price even with a bad grind its worth it, ill sharpen her up and see how she performs.

If it were just a wee bit bigger......
