Mmmm. Those wings look good. We did our usual backyard fire cooking hot dogs tonight. Not as tasty as those wings look though.

Does any one know if you can use the TKC scales for a BK12? I know you couldn't use the weights but would it fit otherwise?

You should be able to minus the weights. Someone had used the kabar micarta on some and drilled out holes to accommodate the weights and it worked fine.

practically sitting on the floor now, wife's listing all kinds of our furniture on cl...:D its amazing how much stuff a person can accumulate over the years..

I'm going through all kinds of odds and ends and listing them, its amazing how much money can be had just by selling junk.... and I mean junk that makes me question why I even had it.. :)

Wife and I took the slingshots to a local creek to shoot a bit. We had a lot of fun. Just took the one photo here:

i need to buy some of that action... pointer? name?

what's the "best" one?

Slingshots? That looks like tons of fun! I haven't shot one since I was but a lad! we ran around with our homemade rigs made from bike tire inner tube strips and waged war against the local wild life!

On anther note, where can I snag some liners for my izula2 scales? Should I just try to whip up my own?

Congrats on getting it sold and gone. Seems I only ever get flakey buyers on there.

The one on the left is a Pocket Predator Hathcock Target Sniper, and the one on the right is a YoSlingshots "WBG" (Wasp Be Gone). They're both nice, but the Hathcock is more powerful. It is also a wide ss, so if you have smaller hands, it would probably get uncomfortable really fast. The WBG, on the other hand, although not as powerful, is a blast to shoot, and also more pocket friendly. Just depends on what your looking for. Here was a thread I did on them awhile back: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1027860-New-Slingshots?p=11720143#post11720143

Really like this rain coat/pack cover. Put it on your pack, and when it starts raining, reach back and grab the coat out of it. Then, I saw that it was $200. Then, I didn't like it so much, haha. Cool concept though:

The idea is a good one but what about when you are at camp and it's raining. You need to keep dry and you need to keep your gear dry what choice do you make? also how much excess is there when your pack is removed? It reminds me of seeing people using their only rain poncho for their shelter.

All in all I like the out of the box thinking.

If you're at camp, hopefully you have a tent, or tarp set up to keep dry. I have no idea about the specs on it. It's called a "Packa", if you want to Google it.

I need to get a rain fly. I don't have one and think I probably should.

How is the weather out in Tennessee? Trying to figure out what to pack.

thanks, lots of flakes for sure.. but I've learned it seems if it doesn't sell within a few days I'll remove the listing and list again later, seems the longer the listings on, the flakier people get....

dunno, dealing with people sucks sometimes regardless, and I especially hate tire kickers... and window shoppers :)

It is worth a good laugh, but it is also pretty bad ass man. Not something that I would use personally but it is still awesome. Should have put a saw along the spine like all good "Survival" knives have!

Yeah its like a Rush 72 but much more compact, and the price is pretty darn solid.
They have a lifetime warranty, but its limited to defect and failure from "Normal use" as defined by the manufacturer.
Seems like theres a lot of room for them to duck a replacement in the verbiage there.
