Just the fact that you tried to understand an area where you knew you had difficulty puts you above about 75% of the populous. Lumosity.com is a great resource if you want some brain food. I think it's well worth it but I am 33 and still need to stop and picture the word "bed" to get my b's and d's correct.

there are books like "an incomplete education" which try to fill in some gaps

spelling is tricky. course, smarty pants that always spell right seem to feel they need to lord that around ;)

they tend to be pencil necks too :>

me? i have a pornographic mammary. never forget one :) figure it might come in handy one day.

That book just went into my amazon cart,.... I read it is written with a humorous tone....... so it might not bore me to death :)

We need help renaming one of our knives.

Stanley is not a desirable name for a blade.

In later news, my Yeti finally shipped! I may actually have it before the gathering.

My company is a dealer for Yeti coolers, those things are pretty awesome. We have a couple different sizes sitting in the corner..everyone loves them, but no one has actually bought one yet. Once I finish my AR build and get about 4 more Beckers, I am hoping to grab one of the 45L models.

The chicken we had for dinner yesterday gave my BK-11 a bright blue patina on the cutting edge. That's gotta be from the fat right? That would look pretty cool on a full blade. Is there a list floating around anywhere that tells what color results from acidic compounds?

I liked the 45 originally, but when I went to order there was only a $50 difference between it and the 65. So I went bigger, because I'm a guy. I'll end up getting another I'm sure. I used the 65 I borrowed at my first gathering, it had me sold by the end of the weekend. It's a big expense, but by the time you buy several other coolers in your lifetime, it seemed worth it.

As part of the Ka-Bar Birthday Celebration they are giving away a BK16 over on the Ka-Bar forums. Thought you reprobates might be interested.

I actually won Mondays giveaway. The Mark 1. Great little event their putting on.

I saw that when I discovered the BK16 thread yesterday. Congrats! The Mark 1 has always interested me...but if I were buying, I'd pick up a BK16 or ESEE4 first.

Congrats on the Mark 1, just saw they announced the winner of the 16 and also gave away a 24 too. Looks like it is a swabbie up for grabs now..

We finally hit 40 degrees for the first time today. Gonna celebrate it by drinking beer and grilling some pork chops. Looks like its supposed to get into the 50's tomorrow and possibly 60 Saturday........my god spring might finally be here!!!

Seems like a good way to celebrate! Spring has been kinda slow getting up here as well. This weekend we might hit the low 60s (17 C).
