Anyone else here with a gsg/sig 1911-22? I found out that there are actually a few companies that make some parts to upgrade them to make them more reliable and more accurate. Last night I ordered a new barrel bushing, spring plug, recoil spring, and a stainless guide rod. The reviews that I've read say that there is a huge difference in accuracy and reliability, so I'm really anxious to get the parts in it and try it out. Just the tighter barrel bushing should make a big difference, considering how sloppy the fit of the factory one is.
 
i would never buy a GSG product, based on my experience owning an early GSG product made of cast parts (pot metal). sold mine as fast as i could, and bought a quality product CNC'ed from solid block aluminum

How ya'll been? Work and the baby have been keeping me away. Literally no time for knives. Still got my eye on the BK-15 at the moment though, we're supposed to bonus from last period and I want to use some of that $$ for the 15, had to use my last bonus for car repairs and registration :thumbdn:

I didn't actually know it was GSG made until well after I bought it. It is branded by Sig Sauer and made by GSG. A guy I know that works at Cabelas was telling me about how he had gotten one and really liked it, so I ended up buying one. I bought it mostly for my gf to shoot so I'm sure it will be fine for a good while. I'll be getting myself a Ruger to plink when the are available again, but in the meantime I may as well tinker.

Thanks! Yup, busy busy. 9 to 11 hour work days 5-6 days a week, hour to hour and a half commute each way, new baby that screams if he's not being held, and online classes for web development. All the time when I get home I think 'Man, I just want to log on to BFC and check in on Becker land!' but there's just too much other stuff that takes priority. Definitely haven't abandoned this place though.
 
Moving tomorrow at 8 am. My back is killing me all ready. Moving sucks but it will be nice when i'm in the new house. I will finally have room for a leather workshop. 4 dozen crispy creme donuts here for my suckers I mean friends coming to help. They wont mind if I eat just one more... I cant go to sleep damn it....

I'll be in the same boat shortly, sad thing is though my back/neck already hurt.... sad how you can 'sorta' get used to the pain after months......months.........

we have a pod in the driveway now, then I plan to call out 'two guys and a truck' to move whats left of the big stuff, they're really reasonable and makes no sense for me to injure myself worse at this point.....

either way moving sucks man...

I hate to admit but when people are moving I'm no where to be found, let alone invited.... no matter what's being offered up..:p
