Has anyone had a chance to fondle one of these babies? I think I might need to break my self imposed knife-buying moratorium to pick one of these things up. From the email they sent out with the announce:

Introducing the GiantMouse GM3 and GMP3
With the GM3 / GMP3 we wanted to design and make a more “gentleman like” folder, but we wanted it to be enough of a knife to serve as a great EDC piece. Accordingly, we designed a flipper that is slender with a refined tip, but strong and with a lot of edge. The slim handle profile makes it a perfect companion in the pocket as well as a good feeling tool in the hand. The handle fills your palm, but the shape makes it very easy to rotate the knife, or reposition your grip, when working with it.

The nail-nick is simply there to give you the option of a quiet and subtle opening. While we do love a good flipper, it can seem a bit aggressive to some when you flip that blade into place at a children’s birthday party to cut open the pink giftwrap with the unicorns. Also, the big nail-nick looks great and adds to the overall design, in our opinion.

Release Date
The GM3 and GMP3 will go on sale at GiantMouse.com on Friday, August 18th at 9:00 am PDT.

OMG, a flipper with a nail nick!

It's quite pretty and I much prefer a liner lock to the frame locks we normally get on midtech flippers. I will put it on that vague list of "knives to try at some point."

Looks nice but not interested. Who's manufacturing them this model?

I've had bad luck with weak detents on the GM's. Bummed there is no fixed blade this round.

I want one pretty bad. Both my GM1 and GM2 have been excellent. Not crazy about the nail nick though. Or another liner lock at $325.

May have to just sit back and wait for I've to pop up in the exchange this time around.

Great looking model, assuming the fit and finish is there, it will be very well received. I think the ZT 0450 is still ZT's best selling model; this GM3 with similar specs, will no doubt follow suit.

The GM1 was such a great knife but the GM2 was just ok. Undecided on this one so far but I imagine i'll end up getting one to see. Just looking at their website seems like the GM2 still hasn't sold out, wonder if they'll lower the price.

Great slim shape, FFG and light weight. Smart to have stainless steel liners instead of titanium due to the lock stickiness of the Viper Storm.

Unfortunately, it has a 3.375" blade length and somewhat overpriced at $325-$375.

...maybe more than somewhat

The GM2 has a TI liner lock, and I font recall hearing any issues with that. Hopefully these won't either. But yeah, <$300 sounds a little more appropriate.

I've had great luck with my GM2, no issues at all. I agree that I'd have liked to see this knife land at $250-275; that would seem more reasonable. Either way, I think I'll grab one because it checks a lot of boxes for me and I've resisted a new knife purchase for a long time!

One correction, I mentioned above that the GM3P was annodized bronze...it's actually just made of bronze. The handles that is. It adds a little weight but makes for a fairly unique knife given that they're only making 100 of that flavor.

The one I posted is $325 (GM3). The GMP3 is an annodized version for $375. They're making 300 units and 100 units respectively.

The GMP3 is not anodized, but made of actual bronze metal. It's the first folder to use bronze for a handle material. Adds some heft but still reasonable 4.8 ounces. The patina will be very cool however. I'm very tempted to pick up the bronze just because of how unique it is.

I really like the design but it's just more than I want to pay for the overall package. The GM brand in general kind of reminds me of Anso's lifestyle brand "Anso of Denmark" that curates outrageously expensive EDC novelties. The marketing on these knives is substantial.

And...the bronze one sold out in 10 minutes, lol

Well I guess we were wrong about them being overpriced, or there's just a lot of hype :D

Did anyone notice for the regular GM3 that the scales are made out of Grade 2, aka commercially pure titanium, and not standard 6AL4V Grade 5 titanium? I know it's a liner lock so it's not nearly as important what the scales are made of, but it is odd. I'm not sure I've ever seen a company actually say they were using Grade 2 for a component.

I didn't pick up on that. I got a bronze one, really like the design and at least it's a unique material unlike another Titanium scaled knife. Yes overpriced but what do you do...
