GiantMouse GM3...SEXY!

Adam,

Please - Your pics are WAY nicer and actually capture the true color of the knife. It looks like this fits nicely in your collection, too!

I forgot to mention that mine came hair-popping sharp as well!

I really like the look of that knife, would like to handle one of them.

You guys are killin' me here.

Great pics all, and thanks for posting your impressions.

Nick Shabazz did a live unboxing and disassembly, and the action looks promising. I would definitely consider one used if they start trading for under msrp down the line. if they get too rare and start selling for a premium, definitely not though

So far so good (perfect).. I can't find anything wrong with this knife. My only concern is hoping the Ti versions sell out quick so I don't get one of those too. The styling ques of traditional and modern work well on the GMP3. Hopefully Giantmouse continues that trend because I really like it.

Just listed my Ti on the exchange, and yes I WILL ship to Canada.

While the knife is absolutely stellar, I'm just a Sebenza kind of guy, so I thought I'd pass this gorgeous piece on at a bit of a discount for those who were thinking about picking one up, or for our Canadian brothers who couldn't get one at all.

Again I was nothing but impressed by the knife, but I'm just a bigger CRK fan than I am a flipper fan!

Feel free to PM me with any questions about the knife though!

Cool move, Bro! Good to see it headed North!

I second all the praise for this knife. Its ergos, deployment action, and overall fit and finish are exemplary.

The factory edge apex angle on my GM3 is c. 43 degrees inclusive:

The slight distortion at the very apex is the result of some residual burr on the factory edge:

I have a couple of random observations after carrying this knife all day. Bear with me; they're still taking form as I type them...

1. OK, don't roast me for what I'm about to say. When I hold this knife it feels like what a knife would feel like if Chris Reeves were to make a modern, titanium flipper. This isn't a statement about style or design or form, but a statement of the simple feel of quality and precision that a CRK brings. I'm not trying to contrast Anso/Voxnaes with Reeve either. I'm only trying to contrast the way I feel with a Sebbie or Inkosi in my hand with the way I feel with this GM3 in hand. There's a quiet satisfaction that I'm holding a tool that's a simple extension of myself.

Obviously, this knife will need to pass the test of time. I plan to disassemble and reassemble this weekend and that will be a huge test. I'm only saying...so far, so good. This knife feels really good in hand...in a way that few knives do.

There aren't many knives that give that feeling. This is one of them. I hope I didn't go all corny on everyone. And, as always, feelings are a personal thing. YMMV.

2. To those of you who have the Ti version; take it outside and look at the stonewash in the light of the sun. I have a bunch of Ti slab knives but none seem to exhibit the depth and character that the stonewash on these show. I have to wonder if this isn't a symptom of commercial pure grade 2 titanium vs. the normal grade 5 alloy we're all accustomed to? I'd appreciate anyone with knowledge of metallurgy to weigh in on this.

3. From the standpoint of an EDC choice, I think this knife might already be top 10. Not certain, too soon for a definite ranking, but it's promising.

If you've read this far...bless you! Go buy a lottery ticket!

Thickness behind the edge-bevel?

Also, the choil is quite large but looks to be too small for a choked grip?
