Gifts for a marine

Edited out comments that may have offended some of the more sensitive among us.

AR fan, I left because there was no debate. It was one sided. Throwing out petty insults in response to mine and other posts does not a debate make.

And deleting your posts doesn't do much, a lot of them are quoted (and yes, all quotes are in italics).

As far as the knives people chose, it looks like a pretty good list. I wouldn't have seen issues with the original, but that just shows how useful actual input from people's experiences are.

The light should be LED or bust, carried an E2E for years until the cheaper LED units started outshining it with longer battery life and no bulb breakage. It'll be a personal light, don't bother looking into weapon mounts, those are issued. Fenix is admittedly good quality, but Streamlight has the American made factor on its side which is a factor in these situations. No complaints on the tool, every soldier I've talked to from supply up to SF loves the Wave, the Charge adds better handles and blade steel.

If it gets close to graduation and you haven't reached your goal, then let me know.
I have a Titanium Charge with all the options, extra bits, adapter for 1/4 hex/extension.
The SS Endura should arrive tues.

If you want to do something good, you can help out here. We are currently making a big push to reestablish control of parts of Afghanistan.
al3xd4gr34t's friend is due to be deployed in that move, or very soon thereafter.
Please contact him and help, even a couple bucks via Paypal will help buy a light or the Rat he needs.
I'm not asking for any political reasons, whether you support the Military or not. Please just help a Soldier.
FWIW, I'm not asking as some random person. I was there, normally 2 of us to a Co.
The pics you are seeing on my Sig line is me on the left and my Asst. CCT on the right.
The aircraft we are calling in are support, 9-15-01. AC-130 and a C-17.
As you can tell they aren't landing on a runway, they are landing on piece of runway we could scout out on the desert.

Wowsa,

You leave a thread for a while and all hell breaks loose. That's a shame, but, at the root of it is a few young kids taking care of their buddy- so that's cool.

I still look forward to hearing how it goes when he gets your package.

I see lots of ways to help. I'm a social worker and am volunteering with a program that will assist divert vets who have gotten into trouble from jail time...

al3xd4gr34t, I just read the thread in the Busse Forum. Folderfan2093 stated the Air force is a soft chair service!!!
I wonder what would have happened to his buddies if I hadn't called in strikes when they were screaming for help!!!

For you unknowing posers. (Jarhead)

marines have plenty of jets and helicopters. not to mention all the navy pilots that help out

These are for executing their CAS mission which they would not be able to perform without the USAF obtaining Air Superiority...this includes Anti-Air (attack) and Air-to-Air (interdiction/interceptor). The services have different missions, try not to confuse them.

Also...the Chair Farce has been performing missions in the ground combat environment since the beginning of OIF. May want to give the old stereotypes a rest. Though, I have to say, the USAF does know how to live...hehee.
