Gifts for a marine

Good to know what side of the fence you're on.

And regardless of our past actions, no one here or anywhere else is obligated to donate money or items to people serving. People have the right to disagree with the war and the soldiers who fight it, to be completely indifferent, etc.

You people seem to have forgotten who earned your rights.

I still haven't even told you what my opinion on the matter is. The rights the troops are defending include the right to disagree with what they're doing, and it includes the right to forego monetary generosity towards them.

AR fan, I'm trying to keep it civilized here. You should probably stop attempting to deprecate other users. It's bad for your reputation and your account status here (yeah yeah, you don't care about your account, go ahead and ban you, etc.)

I have still not stated my own personal opinion on the subject, and I probably never will. However, signing up for the military is 100% elective, and it's not our duty to help protect the people who've taken on the burden of fighting for our country. In an ideal world (according to some), people would send the troops more money and supplies, but in the world we actually live in, people don't, and people are not obligated to. Not only that, but why are you expecting people to show gratitude by way of donations? Are people's thanks and gratitude not enough?

AR fan, seriously, your derrogatory comments towards members and a moderator here are starting to overshadow your kind gesture of a gift to a deserving Marine. You may want to quit while you can.

Hardheart, You need a good ass kicking.

How many other veterans/former military members here (Hardheart is one) are you going to insult before you've had enough?

3G

That's fine Brutus, if that's all you want give, help that's great.
There's no Draft, currently. If that's all concerning you, you have it good pal.
Go hang out at the mall!

If you're going to attempt to insult me, at least have a valid argument somewhere in the post. It's not worth arguing with you, considering it's actually me attempting to have a discussion and you throwing out petty insults. Good luck with not getting banned.

How do you know he didn't serve/isn't serving? How do you know whether anybody posting in this thread hasn't 'paid his or her dues'? You don't!! You're starting to make a real ass of yourself!:thumbdn: Drop the God complex, dude!

I like how you put my quote in italics, very dramatic.
Please point out to me what discussion you'd like to have?
This isn't a Political forum, so it may get moved. But what the heck I'm up for a good debate.

 Uhh....when you use the "quote" function, it automatically places the text you're quoting into italics, but I see that in in your infinite wisdom, you have yet to figure out how to do that. As far as "dramatics" go, you've brought plenty. I'd say it's time to quit.

go up to post 81, mine aren't in italics.

Right. And that would be because you apparently do not know how to use the "quote" function. Also missing in your quote, in post # 81, is the name of the member you quoted, as well as the link that a proper "quote" contains to the original post.;)

+1. weight and bulk are my first considerations also. When your wearing an IBA, LBE, Ruck, Kevlar, carrying and M16 or M4 and whatever else they give you. Anything you choose to carry should be light and small.

Nvm, should have read the whole thread. Last list you posted looked perfect
