Give-Away Criteria

Put him on ignore, JN.

Here's some words of comfort... Some m*********s are always trying to ice skate uphill.

Sir

Again you have put your own words in my mouth. Please read carefully !

I questioned your intentions regarding pics of the dug up knives.

I NEVER questioned your intentons of giving away $355 in knives and $90 in shipping.

I NEVER called your knives POSs. Your self serving choice of words.

I am not here to stir up trouble but to question your original intention of digging up buried knives and posting pics of their condition. If your thread changed directions, so did the replys. Enjoy your give away.

I said peoples', not mine. You called dipbait's S&W Little Pal a POS right here... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5628895&postcount=7
Somebody made $11 profit off that $12 POS
Benchmade,Kershaw,Spyderco,SOG all have
lower priced knives in their product line that
you wouldn't be ashamed to carry.
and here's the entire thread... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5629244

And what question did you have as far as my intention?

I've stated my question in the previous post. You are obviously offended by my posts re pics. Enjoy your give away.

Just a friendly suggestion... If it must persist, maybe it would be best for the squabble to be taken to PM / e-mail? Keeping the argument going in either of these two threads will merely derail the the threads and detract from their purpose. And arguing in public rarely has a satisfying outcome IME :\

And on topic - *lays low and bides times until the knife he really wants comes up*

Okay, maybe I overlooked a question and I owe you an apology. Here are all of your posts on the subject, even from the other thread...
If you are counting hits , i'll give you one.

That's all this thread is worth.
Nope, no question there. Thanks for the compliment on my useless thread though. Next...

I can't believe everyone is falling for this.

Was it P.T. Barnum who said there was one born every minute.
The only question here is about P.T. Barnum, and I'm not sure if he's the one who said that (to answer your question). Next...

Of course I came back for a peek see. This is fun

Can't wait until the battery is charged.
No question here either.

There is a difference between calling someone a liar and questioning their OP intentions. Don't put words in my mouth, instead concentrate on getting your camera working.

Why do you think I would want to be eligible for one of your knives ? I don't participate in self serving exercises.
So, you're asking me why I think you'd want to be eligible for one of my free knives. Okay. Perhaps because all of the knives are of good quality, and it would be free. If this is the question that I overlooked, then I apologize but fail to see what it has to do with questioning my intentions of the thread. I continue with your posts, thinking I must have missed a question...

No questions here; in fact you said that you're here to question my intentions behind the thread, yet the only questions you've asked are about P.T. Barnum and why I think you'd want a free knife.

Now I'm more confused than ever:confused:

Holy crap! I totally forgot about this being my give-away thread. Lock (and everybody else in the give-away) I apologize for the bickering. Wally, if you feel the need to talk with me, please e-mail me about it. I'll be more than happy to answer any questions you have. I'll be off the computer for the night in about 20 minutes, so let's be nice. Back on topic now please

I think wally is wondering why you started a thread about taking pics of knives, then continued to post about not having access to them, not digging them up yet, not having a camera, the battery dying, etc. In essence, he seems to think you were looking for attention before it was fully warranted.

If I'm right, maybe that clears it up and we can move on with the generous part of this thread, free knives for those that posted. good luck fellas :)

Play nice boys. Very nice thing you're doing. Should be fun. Thanks for the inclusion.

For the knives that have sheaths I'm assuming you left them in their sheath? should be interesting to see how that works out, as I've always heard to store knives wrapped in newspaper instead of their sheaths.

Ah, got it. To answer: yes, the knives were buried as stated. No, I don't own a camera and had to borrow one. Yes, it took me a few days to retrieve them. Yes, the battery died. I see where the attention-wanting part would come in now. To knife knuts, it's the proverbial kid holding up a giant sign saying "Free candy!! Tomorrow." day after day. I'm sorry for the delays and making everybody wait. If that clears everything up then great, but there was no malicious intent. Simply an unfortunate circumstance. Again, I'm sorry for being the attention-grabbing kid with the sign. The give-away is in effect, so let's win some knives

At least he's not offering the candy to us children from within a dinged up old van without a license plate... Ohh, a piece of candy!

I'll throw in for the Endura as well.

-I love Enduras, and have a few, but can never get enough

- i dont care how much rust it might have on it, I'd still get a lot of use out of it.

- Spyderco is probably my favorite manufacturer of folders.

I might as well opt for the Dfly too, for the reasons stated above. However, I don't have any Dflys.

Thanks J. Great thing you're doing here.

wow so much drama! I have no idea how I missed this thread. Good luck to those in the giveaway. .....Still want pictures though!

I'm in for a Sodbuster. I have never owned a Case before, and i figure its time i try and win a classic! (plus i really want to see how the carbon steel held up after being buried in a tube!)

Guys, please read his rules first... carefully :)

Only post when the specific knife you want is currently being given away. It goes by numbers. Right now, it is #1 or a Mora.

nice job JN- I'm will just keep the karma as it is - I was the third to reply, I would be interested in the third knife given away - doesnt really matter which one. Send it exactly as it was the day in was dug up.
I'll post pics of the condition the way I recieve it - then do a full clean up and post those pics. A before and after.
Cool contest BTW
